I love this lamp. It is so slim and minimalistic that the light seems to emanate from thin air. Multiple temperature modes allow adjusting from warm to white to cold white. Multiple brightness settings are available for effective dimming. Everything is touch control, no physical buttons. Quality is nice. It's perfect for use next to a computer monitor in a darkened room. I do CAD work and need to reference printed material while I draw. This lamp provides light only where I want it without washing onto the monitor screen. Room for improvement: Height adjustment is very limited. The vertical bar only tilts forward, not backwards. That is the only way to adjust the height of the light bar from the desk surface. In the upright position the light is about 15" from the surface. The light can go very close to the surface but only by tilting the arm forward. Height will be limited by how deep your desk is. For an average desk, you might not have much room for adjustment. For reference, the desk shown is 24" deep. See pics. ... show more

I bought this lamp four years ago and it's been a great performer until it wasn't. Suddenly this month it started flickering up a storm and is now becoming progressively dimmer with each passing day. To be sure, the lamp likely suffered from overuse as I kept it on virtually all day long every day. That said, I still think I'll replace it with the same model as before instead of hopping to another brand. What I especially like about this lamp is it's ready to go when you get it.
