Works just as advertised. I am so impressed with this! I misplaced my Black and Decker weedeater battery, and this cost less than a replacement battery, and we have several Dewalt tools/batteries, so this just sense. Its made of plastic, and very lightweight, so I had my doubts, but have us3d it every few days for almost a month and my Dewalt batteries fit right into this, it fits right into the B&D weedeater and works like a charm! Looks like genuine Porter Cable batteries are being phased out, so I bought this adapter in the hopes of keeping my beloved Porter Cable tools going for another decade or more using DeWalt batteries. The fit is great and professional looking, and works great. I will be buying a second or maybe even third adapter for sure. One small criticism is the plastic on the adapter is not as sturdy as the plastic used on the batteries. I don't believe this would stand up to daily worksite abuse without cracking. But for around the house use it's probably fine - just don't toss your tools around recklessly. ... show more

Adapter works as described. Installation is a bit stiff - buyers should be aware that it protrudes further that a battery alone and does change the balance of whatever device is being used.

When I decided I needed power tools for my home maintenance and woodworking obligations, I bought into Porter Cable. I had a whole variety of their tools when my batteries started dying. And man- they’re expensive! When I was frustrated one day, I picked up a Dewalt Drill and kept buying Dewalt after that. Now I have plenty of Dewalt tools and many batteries. I just boxed up my Porter Cable tools and stored them. I really missed my Porter Cable tools. When I saw this adapter on a YouTube video, I immediately ordered it. Indeed the adapter works perfectly. It fits my Porter Cable tools and my Dewalt batteries. Now I have double the tools and everything works! I highly recommend this adapter.
