I really have no dislikes regarding this lamp. It's esthetically pleasing in appearance and the base is heavy and solid. It sits between mine and my wife's chairs and we're able to position it to where we need it if one of us is reading....or crocheting....or clipping our fingernails...or trying to tighten that dumb microscopic screw in our eyeglasses...sorry TMI. Great value for what you're getting. I've purchased two of these for my elderly mother and she uses them at her puzzle table and when she's coloring and reading. I purchased this lamp to serve as an aesthetically-pleasing grow light in a dark area of my house where I wanted a large houseplant. It is the perfect size and design for this purpose. I love how it looks with my White Bird of Paradise. It had a problem with the size of the lamp shade, though. It was entirely too small for a regular size light bulb or any of the grow bulbs I could find. You will need a very small bulb if you don't want the bulb sticking out from the bottom of the lamp shade. I personally found this unacceptable for the size lamp. One inch longer and the lamp shade that came with the lamp would have been sufficient. While shopping at a craft store, I found metal lamp shades on clearance so I took a chance that one would replace the too-small shade that came with the lamp. Not quite. I had to file out the hole about 1/16th of an inch all the way around, almost 1/8th of an inch to make the socket collar fit through. I altered the new lamp shade, put it all together, and it is the perfect size for this lamp, and what the lamp should have come with to start with. You can see the differences in sizes in the pictures I uploaded. The first picture is the shade that came with the lamp. The second picture is the new shade which is easily 3 times larger and just perfect. Was this lamp worth what I paid for it? Absolutely! It is a great-looking lamp, albeit inexpensive in craftsmanship. I got what I paid for and was not out much for the lamp shade upgrade (clearance). Just be aware of the bulb size limitations unless you don't mind your bulb sticking out beyond the lamp shade or want to change the lamp shade yourself. ... show more

This lamp is perfect! Easy to assemble and extremely sturdy. We bought a floor lamp 2 years ago at Home Goods, and we loved the looks of it; BUT, it was not sturdy. Even got our handy-man to try to stabilize it. Made no difference. We still use that lamp, just not in the family room. You can use any LED bulb: even 100-W Equivalent at around 10-W actual is -far- under the wiring limit. And if you don't want the cord to dangle, three zipties keep the cord smoothly running down the stand to the ground.

I got this lamp for my sloped ceiling bedroom. It fits just right in my bedroom and the copper finish makes it give something extra to my room. Super easy to assemble, everything is fully functional and nothing was damaged during shipping. I have a 19w led soft white bulb in it and when I need to use it at night it gives me enough light to be able to see but it doesn’t blind me. Which it will if you have it to it’s full height and the light not turned to the side. The switch to turn on the light works and no issues there. I’m pleasantly surprised since there were some reviews that made me hesitant to purchase it. My purchase went great though, and I’m enjoying the light it gives me. Something to note if you have it pointed at you, it will blind you. So I’m glad I can turn the light to the side and still have enough light without looking in the sun. ... show more
