It has a separate mounting plate which was super easy to install, then the light and motion sensor assembly simply slides down and clicks onto the mount and you’re in business. It has 1 modes that control the brightness and duration of the light when triggered, plus an adjustment for the range from the unit to sense motion. I opted for the eco mode which they say will double the battery life. It stays on longer at a lower intensity that is still plenty to light up my area. This light feels solid and I think it’s a great price for what you get. I especially love that it’s battery powered so I didn’t have to run wire or call in an electrician. The product produces a strong, bright light to not only illuminate the area, but target a specific spot if needed. The product is sturdy, and easy to install....however, I haven't yet determined the life of the D batteries required to operate the light. I am concerned that the batteries will "die" when I need the light the most. A low battery "indicator" would be useful. Also, while practical to replace batteries, the light is easily removed from the base thus making it very easy to disable or steal if someone truly wanted to. This is a great source of light, but should not be considered a "security" light. ... show more

This is a really nice light! Exactly what you would need for walking from building to building or from your parking garage to your house! I wanted a light that didn't stay on all night, and didn't want to spend the money on expensive new wiring. I will say that this is it! Just 2 screws to mount. In this case I bought masonry screws as I mounted it to the side of my house. The economy mode will dim down after 20 seconds but stay on for a full minute after activation. Works great for me. I'm back to purchase my third one of these. We already have two in the garage, and they've been working great for several years now. I thought the batteries might not last too long, but I haven't had to replace them yet. Light is bright, and motion sensor works great.
