I love this tablet so far! I upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ which was sooooo slow. You couldn't even have a split screen without it slowing down to a molasses like pace. This lenovo tablet however, complete opposite. It's so fast, the screen is huge, I LOVE the pen it came with, I use it all the time. This is definitely worth the money. The battery life has been amazing. I can't say enough good things about this tablet. It synced up with my phone without issue. The sound quality on the speakers is also amazing. It's super easy to use and to personalize. It has gemini and Google to search, which is another amazing thing about this tablet. All the great features at a fraction of the price. This is a large tablet. If you are coming from regular sized tablets like iPad 10.9 inch, you will notice this 12.7 inch tablet is rather huge. It is all the same amazing. Clear crisp colorful screen. Tablet is a premium build for the price. Processor is fast, ships with Android 14 out of the box. Software is smooth and functional. For me, this is the first time i have used a tablet that is powered by a Mediatek processor. Setup was rather easy. Mine came with the cover case which is amazing quality. Yes, the case cover flap is magnetic and it powers off the tablet when it makes contact with the screen. The tablet is solid and to me, overall use is far better than iPad. The writing experience is miles better than what i had on iPad. The spacious screen will make you forget you are writing on a glass screen. This is an amazing tablet for a student or a person who reads and writes a lot, a business person (the PC mode is fantastic especially if you use a bluetooth mouse and keyboard), this tablet is also amazing for Bible study. Battery life is AWESOME!!! The battery in this device is large and here is where the main problem of this tablet lay. CONS: 1. The large battery adds weight. This is the type of tablet you utilize on a desk. Mobility is doable but the weight… you will feel it. 2. Fully charging the large battery in this tablet will be excruciatingly painful- let me explain; - First thing… you wont be able to find the original charger for this tablet anywhere on US soil. This tablet for some reason only known to Lenovo does not come with its original charger. And dont for one think that you will just use any charger you have at home. It wont work! This tablet requires a 45 Watt charger with PD (power delivery) smart charging from Lenovo to adequately and properly fully charge the huge battery in this device. If you use a regular charger even one that provides 45 watts, if such charger is not a smart charger with PD capabilities, the tablet will show on the screen “Flash Charging” and it charge so slowly and may take a day or two to fully charge the battery in this tablet. You will be forced to spend about $64.00 to get a 45W PD smart charger from the Lenovo website. Do not get the $25.00 standard 45Watt charger. It wont work. Get the PD charger selling for $64 otherwise the tablet will default to Flash Charging and take days to fully charge the battery. In summary. This is an amazing tablet but a frustration when it comes to charging the huge battery. With a full battery and casual use.. the thing lasts forever. This is not a gaming tablet. If you like to game, get you an iPad. This tablet is for people who love to read and write, book keepers, people who do a lot of thinking and research, sketch, or teach Bible lessons and or do a lot of Bible study. And by Bible study i mean using the tablet on a desk. Do not for once think you can carry this thing with you to church for note taking… some congregants may laugh at you and even suggest that you may as well bring a tv next time. ... show more

I bought this tablet for my son to use at school. He originally needed a laptop, but I chose this tablet because it is much lighter, and I have no regrets. Since his school uses Google Workspace, Android provides excellent compatibility with everything he needs. The 12 GB of memory is more than enough for schoolwork, and the stylus is very convenient for drawing and quickly highlighting text. The screen resolution is fantastic.     • IMHO this is the best tablet you can get for under $400.
Size: Idea Tab Pro
This is a higher end mid-tier tablet and I purchase it on sale for $299. That's an insane value for what you get. Most tablets in this price range severely sacrifice graphics capability to keep the price down. This tablet does NOT. Since this tablet has a Mediatek Dimensity 8300 SOC it contains a very decent Mali G615 MC6 which can handle almost anything you throw at it adequately. Even "high end" Android games can run at at least 30 fps on medium. This also means it capable of handling PS2 emulation at 2 to 3 times the original resolution. The down side is it tends to thermal throttle under heavy sustained loads but there are ways to mitigate that to differing degrees. Regardless, since I got this tablet I have completely stopped using my Dell Inspiron 15 3535 (AMD Ryzen 5 7520U) laptop as my daily driver. This tablet can do anything my laptop can do in PC Mode with a wireless (BT or USB) mouse and keyboard and even better in some cases. Now I'm just a casual computer user so I don't need a laptop that can edit videos or anything intensive like that so this tablet is more than enough to be a viable replacement for my laptop. Honestly my laptop has been relegated to be nothing more than a Jellyfin media server since I got this tablet. This tablet is a very capable media player, short of just being IPS LCD instead of AMOLED but for the price..................., for media consumption as far as basic streaming service but with the right media player software and home network media server this is a beast for the price. One can increase the quality of your media exponentially over a home network if you know what your doing. With the over 12 inch screen and 2944 x 1840 resolution this is basically a UHD small smart TV. No it's not 4K but it's close and "downscaling" 2160p content looks almost as good as true 4k especially with the right media player software. Now it does have some glaring shortcomings but for the price one shouldn't complain. First, as I mentioned before, this tablet has a tendency to thermal throttle under intense task like gaming. It actually thermal throttles way before it really needs to due to the fact Lenovo prioritized user comfort over performance. Many competitors (tablet and phone) will let their devices get almost too hot to touch before they thermal throttle. Lenovo did not. Second, software support is relatively short compared to Lenovo's main competitor in the tablet space but when you compare price for an equivalent or close to equivalent competitors tablet...........................well shorter software support is understandable. Third is the 400 nits or so peak brightness. While adequate-ish for indoor use and viewing SDR content it falls short when viewing HDR content, which this tablet is definitely capable of doing. With a peak brightness of 400-ish nits your not going to see a lot of benefit when viewing HDR content over SDR content. HDR content needs at least around 800 nits peak brightness in order to really start seeing a markedly quality difference over SDR and 800 nits is the minimum. Another benefit is the display on this is near color accurate and covers most of the srgb colorspace but also most of the wide color-gamut of DCI-P3 (more accurately DCI-P3 with a D65 white point ie. P3-D65 or Apple-P3). With this wide gamut colorspace it makes a much more "natural" looking conversion/compresion of HDR to SDR even at a peak b rightness of 400 nits. At the end of the day this is not a flagship tablet but it is the absolute best mid-range tablet at it's even no-sale price point of $340-$370 let alone the $299 I purchased it on sale for. ... show more

I did not initially buy this for school work, rather, I was needing something to replace a laptop, since it's dying out and wasn't cutting it for casual use (dying battery, etc) so I shopped around and chose this. I was interested in the stylus, and I downloaded a few different drawing apps and was impressed by how the tablet performed. Very little lag, crisp resolution, and the stylus feels nice. Then, I decided to buy a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, and just attempt to use the tablet in its "PC mode" for school, and I was so impressed. It was basically like using a Chromebook, but I was able to easily switch between Tablet and PC modes. It's very portable and thin, which is complimented by its performance and screen size. I was also impressed by the sound quality. As someone who has always used budget devices, I never expect stellar audio from any of my device's speakers. But I was pleasantly surprised in that department! I also love to use the Google Messages app on here, which pairs easily with my phone and keeps me from having to use both devices at once. Of course, there are a few places where it falls short. A couple of standouts there are the camera quality and the amount of time it takes to set up and personalize the device. I absolutely overlook the camera quality when reviewing this product, but if you're someone who does video calls or records videos regularly, this is probably not the device for you. However, the setup process was obnoxious. I kept getting dozens of apps downloaded that I swore I had not selected during the setup, including random games and apps that I never asked for. However, once you're able to fight through that, there are plenty of ways to personalize and organize this tablet. I highly recommend this for any student who's looking for a versatile and cheap alternative to the mainstream tablets and laptops marketed towards students. ... show more

Size: Idea Tab Pro
This thing takes some tinkering to setup if you are an advanced user who is using this for dev or work. I had to remove the bloatware that came with it ( games and stupid stuff ) but the built in "AI" for writing and text work is good. I have not tried it for anything else. I am old school and do my own work. I have used it some extreme remote areas with Star Link and have not had any issues with the WiFi. I have not tested external Screes yet, but the desktop mode is great. I use this as a pyro, it is amazing with the speed, and its accuracy with the pen, I can sketch up quick layouts and print them without even having to worry. It is light enough that I don't might to carry it around and the screen is decently bright. Some issues in 100% direct sunlight but I have yet to find a tablet that works in direct sunlight without issues. I am running into a couple issues with programs being actually not ready for the OS as its on a good update channel from. I have had to get used to the size of the fingerprint scanner but that is because my prints get messed up at work a lot. The Tablet cover can be a good stand, but I do not recommend using it as a stand all the time as you will wear it out faster. I have never had a good cover last when actively using it. If you are just going to watch a video the stand is perfect. WiFi has been great, no issues. I not added a external SD Card yet. But the speed of the internal storage is great. I feel like this is an excellent machine. I like to have several tabs open at once in Chrome. I use it when I'm playing music to look at chords of different songs and I like to leave them open so I can practice them. Before when I was using a Chromebook I could do the same thing but everything slowed down and nothing was snappy and there was glitches just because I had so many different tabs open. But this has enough power and good resolution for a tablet. It also has a pretty long run time and standby time. I feel like the responsiveness as well as the screen is very good for what I would term as a at least semi budget tablet. It has a very good size to it and it's also pretty fun to use the included pen with it although I'm no artist. It is pretty easy to make notations on things that are interesting to you. In the past I've had windows computers Chromebooks and all sorts of tablets and this is well made products that I have ever used with this kind of technology.
