  • Amazing all-round tablet but…PAINFUL!
Size: Idea Tab Pro
This is a large tablet. If you are coming from regular sized tablets like iPad 10.9 inch, you will notice this 12.7 inch tablet is rather huge. It is all the same amazing. Clear crisp colorful screen. Tablet is a premium build for the price. Processor is fast, ships with Android 14 out of the box. Software is smooth and functional. For me, this is the first time i have used a tablet that is powered by a Mediatek processor. Setup was rather easy. Mine came with the cover case which is amazing quality. Yes, the case cover flap is magnetic and it powers off the tablet when it makes contact with the screen. The tablet is solid and to me, overall use is far better than iPad. The writing experience is miles better than what i had on iPad. The spacious screen will make you forget you are writing on a glass screen. This is an amazing tablet for a student or a person who reads and writes a lot, a business person (the PC mode is fantastic especially if you use a bluetooth mouse and keyboard), this tablet is also amazing for Bible study. Battery life is AWESOME!!! The battery in this device is large and here is where the main problem of this tablet lay. CONS: 1. The large battery adds weight. This is the type of tablet you utilize on a desk. Mobility is doable but the weight… you will feel it. 2. Fully charging the large battery in this tablet will be excruciatingly painful- let me explain; - First thing… you wont be able to find the original charger for this tablet anywhere on US soil. This tablet for some reason only known to Lenovo does not come with its original charger. And dont for one think that you will just use any charger you have at home. It wont work! This tablet requires a 45 Watt charger with PD (power delivery) smart charging from Lenovo to adequately and properly fully charge the huge battery in this device. If you use a regular charger even one that provides 45 watts, if such charger is not a smart charger with PD capabilities, the tablet will show on the screen “Flash Charging” and it charge so slowly and may take a day or two to fully charge the battery in this tablet. You will be forced to spend about $64.00 to get a 45W PD smart charger from the Lenovo website. Do not get the $25.00 standard 45Watt charger. It wont work. Get the PD charger selling for $64 otherwise the tablet will default to Flash Charging and take days to fully charge the battery. In summary. This is an amazing tablet but a frustration when it comes to charging the huge battery. With a full battery and casual use.. the thing lasts forever. This is not a gaming tablet. If you like to game, get you an iPad. This tablet is for people who love to read and write, book keepers, people who do a lot of thinking and research, sketch, or teach Bible lessons and or do a lot of Bible study. And by Bible study i mean using the tablet on a desk. Do not for once think you can carry this thing with you to church for note taking… some congregants may laugh at you and even suggest that you may as well bring a tv next time. ... show more

  • Very nice tablet, great deal for the money.
Size: Idea Tab Pro
I've had this tablet for several months now, and I"m quite pleased with it. One of my primary uses is to read Kindle books, and it does that very well. I've also used it for web browsing, watching videos, and email. It does all these well, and the smaller, lighter package is great for times I don't want to carry around a laptop computer. I've been very happy with screen, and never wanted for more memory. One of the features I especially like is that it works well with Google apps and PlayStore. I can't say whether it is suitable for games, only because I don't play games. The only point on which I've been disappointed is that it doesn't have the full Android user interface, though all the features and capabilities seem to be there, but sometimes I need to use the search function when I'd rather just go through the menu. The other small issue is that it relies on network connection for location. Usually that doesn't matter, but if you were hoping, say, to use for navigation on a boat, it probably won't work. Overall, however, I'm very pleased with the tablet, and think the feature set is completely adequate given the competitive price. ... show more

  • If you like a large tablet I don't think you can go wrong with this for the money
Size: Idea Tab Pro
I feel like this is an excellent machine. I like to have several tabs open at once in Chrome. I use it when I'm playing music to look at chords of different songs and I like to leave them open so I can practice them. Before when I was using a Chromebook I could do the same thing but everything slowed down and nothing was snappy and there was glitches just because I had so many different tabs open. But this has enough power and good resolution for a tablet. It also has a pretty long run time and standby time. I feel like the responsiveness as well as the screen is very good for what I would term as a at least semi budget tablet. It has a very good size to it and it's also pretty fun to use the included pen with it although I'm no artist. It is pretty easy to make notations on things that are interesting to you. In the past I've had windows computers Chromebooks and all sorts of tablets and this is well made products that I have ever used with this kind of technology. I use it to look up websites emails I've also watched a lot of videos YouTube and other video content and been very pleased with it ... show more

  • Great Tablet with Excellent Performance
Size: Idea Tab Pro
I’ve been using the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro, and it has exceeded my expectations in several areas. First, the storage capacity is more than enough for apps, files, and games without worrying about running out of space. The tablet also has a sleek and modern look, giving it a premium feel. The battery life is impressive — it easily lasts through a full day of mixed use. I also get strong and stable WiFi connectivity, which is great for streaming, video calls, and online work. For gaming, the performance is surprisingly good. It handles most games smoothly, making it a solid option for entertainment. The building quality is also excellent; it feels sturdy and well-made in the hands. Overall, this tablet offers great value and performance. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Some Gripes, but Mostly Great
Size: Idea Tab Pro
So I would like to upload some pictures, but I don't think they would get the whole point across I'd be trying to make: This thing is huge. Maybe I've been "out of the tablet game" for too long, but I got this as an upgrade for another tablet that was showing its age, and the size difference was night and day. This is like if you took the screen off a modern laptop and decided to carry it everywhere, which I completely understand is the point for some people (like students,) but it becomes a bit of a hassle in portrait mode if you ever plan to use it that way. This might be why Apple adopted a more square 4:3 ratio to keep it more compact, but when its 16:10, it feels like holding a computer monitor. If this was lighter then maybe it would be more realistic, but as it stands I just don't think this is very practical in terms of vertical usage. With that said, this absolutely excels in terms of entertainment, and I do think makes sense marketed towards students. I personally have had no need to try typing or taking notes, but I see no reason tasks like that would be any hassle when it does everything else so smoothly. Watching videos at 4K were beautiful and ran perfectly smoothly, and sound quality was better than expected (although not exactly mind-blowing.) As said before I think this makes sense being marketed towards students since it is on the more affordable side, or at the very least isn't trying to compete with the Galaxy Tab S10's and iPad Pros of the world, staying in more a of a middle-range, which is why I personally chose it. Where this is most felt in my mind is when you play games, which in my experience were never "unplayable," but when there were multiple screen effects going on could cause the game FPS to slow down. The highest fidelity mobile game I play these days is Girls Frontline 2, so I can't say how well Fortnite or similar games run, but I have my doubts given how much could be going on in those titles. But like I said, medium price is going to have medium-qualities, so I think its certainly acceptable for what you get in other places, and more graphically intense games will probably have settings you can toggle on and off to get better results. My biggest gripe is the battery/how the battery is managed. This claims you can get 11 hours of YouTube streaming which may be true, but because this is an LCD panel instead of OLED, it burns through battery at a much faster rate (and looks worse,) and would have to be incredibly dim to make that possible. Add on top of that the toggleable "max battery charge limit," which I do love that Lenovo has included here as a means to extend the battery life, but they decided if you want to protect the battery this will only charge to 80% max, with no other options. So if you want to extend your battery's life you have to sacrifice 20% of its capacity, whereas other brands have given more varied options of how to handle protecting it. Also a side-note is during the setup process for this, it forces you to install a bunch of bloatware games and apps, but you can uninstall all of them later (besides Lenovo's management app.) There's a lot I could probably say but in the end this is a pretty good, but not perfect device. It has a great screen with quality speakers for media consumption, and the power to run most things pretty well. To me the price seems fair, and overall I'd recommend it so long as you know this isn't some hidden gem that's going to blow away the competition, its just a solidly good 4/5 tablet, and if I could it's be more like a 4.5/5. ... show more

  • Powerful versatile tablet for the price, worth every penny
Size: Idea Tab Pro
Had not bought a tablet in years so I was reluctant but pulled the trigger when it was on a really deep discount here around Christmas. I got to tell you I'm so impressed. I'll cut to the main points this damn thing will run fortnite. It's insane. I got this for my piano it's midi connectivity watching movies and stuff and freelance so it works pretty good. It works well and the usefulness is amazing it's got a lot of of RAM and you can assign four more gigabytes I believe of virtual ram so apps won't crash when you multitask. People complain about the battery life but I haven't had any issues. I mean it's got a big processor and I'll take the trade off because if you're doing a demanding tasks it's going to use energy that's more of indicative of how powerful it is so I've had no issues with battery life. It is made well. Oh be careful when you set it up I absolutely screwed up on mine because I hate bloatware and there's no bloatware here exactly and I went on a spree to just start deleting stuff and I accidentally got rid of some pretty good memo suites and office content so I had to resync all of my Google files and resync all of my accounts cuz I had to do a factory reset to regain access to those pretty amazing pre-installed apps. Like I said I don't think there's what we're on here but if there is it's easily eradicated so that is a good thing. ... show more

  • Lenovo Makes Top Products
Size: Idea Tab Pro
In 2025/2026 8gb ram is plenty for most games and tasks. Speed is fast. This tablet is awesome. Stylus works well, holds good charge, easy to use. Lenovo has been my go-to for tablets and gaming PC for years. They seldom disappoint. Tablet is big and has superb sound and without the case it doesn't weigh very much. Color is nice, and tablet has a thin metal feel. Case adds a lot of weight so I bought a slimmer case for travel. However, one must buy a Lenovo 65w charger for good fast charging. My name brand, non-lenovo fast chargers do not work. Must be Lenovo. (Unless they do a software update to address this.) That was only low point but still worth 5 stars. ... show more
