The Privacy Screen stickers stick to the computer screen. While the stickers are clear they are rather wide and extremely long making them noticeable and annoying. Furthermore the Privacy Screen stickers do not make temporary use very friendly. The stickers pick up lint and dirt so that it obscures the view of the computer screen. Thus you are required to throw away those and purchase new stickers; great business plan for company but not so much for the consumer. I guess this privacy screen is somewhat okay if you never intend to remove it but for work purposes there are times it must be removed. In the end, I would not purchase this screen. ... show more

This product is fantastic at what it is supposed to do - keep other people from being able to read your screen. Now, it doesn't mean they can't _see_ your screen, it doesn't block it out completely, but as long as they're off center they won't be able to read words. Your boss may be able to tell you're on Facebook though just by the shape and colors :) The only real con for me is the tabs you have to put on your laptop. Frankly, they don't look very good and are slightly distracting until you get used to them. That said, I don't even notice them anymore. ... show more

This is the only 3M privacy screen that actually fit my Lenovo T420, there are others (such as the gold series) that come up as recommended for the T420 but they did not fit.

In the description of the product, it was published as almost new. When I received the product, there was a 3 inch crease in the middle of the filter. Also, there was dirt smear across the filter. The product was not as advertised.

    • Low quality - not worth it.
This is not a good screen and I wish I could return it (waited too long to install it). Privacy protection is mediocre - easily can recognize words at more than 45' angle. No vertical protection but that is common with such screens. The manufacturer and model number of the screen are prominently etched at the top right side - very distracting. There is a notch cut off right next to the etched numbers. I guess it is supposed to help customer remove the screen. Since the screen reduces the brightness then this notch is like a flashlight pointing at you. The picture is misleading - this is not a tabless design. The tabs are quite prominent and distracting.
