I was a bit hesitant to order after seeing some of the reviews here, but (so far) I'm glad I ordered it. Upon opening the package, I noticed there are two sets of US electrical outlet prongs. They must have read all the reviews of plugs falling apart and now include two sets. The fit of the prongs on my unit seems secure and there's no flexing/separating like others have mentioned. Hopefully they have fixed this (former?) problem. One thing I did notice when I removed the prongs was that the connection to the unit is the same style plug as is found on many electrical adapters. The cord shown in the attached picture is from an old radio, but I also have this style cord on laptop power bricks, video game consoles, etc. So even if the prongs were to fall apart or be lost, this option still works. As for charging, I do not own any Apple anything, however, this charges both my laptop and Pixel 6 Pro in fast charge mode without issue. If I do have any issues I will update this review. But for now I have to say this item is a great deal. ... show more

The surface laptop studio has issues that have been left unaddressed. The primary issue is that their cord has an issue charging the laptop, and so the USB-C charger is the only alternative for those who can't do a return (if you can, do it). For the most part this brick works well, particularly if used for standard office programs (aka for work or school and not more demanding applications). However, within the past 6 months I started to get a "weak charge detected". I can't say for sure if it's the brick or more issues with my laptop, but I would recommend going to a larger wattage brick than 118. My other notes: I like that the prongs fold. The brick gets really warm if playing a time waster like the sims. I purchased an Anker cord because I lost the cord that came with this, but I wasn't overly impressed with the cord received. I tend to abuse my cords and need something that will take the abuse, at least for a while. ... show more
