  • Absolutely Gorgeous!
Style: 6621
I bought this watch for my son for his birthday. He is extremely choosy when it comes to watches and is like my father - a watch "connoisseur". Neither of them bat an eye at paying $1200 for a watch! My son wanted a silver/stainless watch - one that doesn't have all the "bells and whistles" and one he could wear every day. <He doesn't feel wearing a $1200 watch every day is smart!> SO I went to work and looked at many, many watches. I immediately fell in love with the blue face on this watch. I don't know what it was but after looking at so many, this watch just spoke to me, so I bought it. It got here 2 days after I ordered it. You have to LOVE Prime!! I have to say I am impressed with the watch's presentation. It comes in a yellow Leather box and the inside is a very, very soft Chamois? The watch actually sits on a soft chamois pillow. The watch itself is gorgeous. It is definitely much larger and heavier then I thought it would be, but that is not a deal breaker at all. I love the combination shiny/brushed stainless silver of the band, and I really like that the side pushbuttons are large enough that you won't have a hard time using them, but they don't stick out so far that it makes the watch unattractive. I don't understand what all the complaints about the bezel are about. The watch I received is perfect. There are NO issues with something being off. Everything on this watch is perfect and aligned as it should be. Yes, the instruction "manual" is just a photocopied page, but it explains what you need to know. Yes, the date is small - but it IS a watch, not a calendar, and it isn't so small that you need a magnifying glass to see it. Someone commented that the watch feels cheap...REALLY?!?! I feel, IMHO, this is a very well made watch - strong, sturdy and durable. I can't see it breaking unless you throw it at a brick wall or run it over! It has substantial weight. You can see the time, date, seconds, day of week - ALL of it- well. If you have a small wrist you will need to remove some of the links for a good fit - again, not a deal breaker. I paid $75 for this watch and if I had/wanted to - I would do it all over again. This is a beautiful watch that keeps time and is classy looking. It is ABSOLUTELY worth every penny! I would recommend this watch to all who want a beautful, classy watch that does what it says and doesn't break the bank! ... show more

  • Luxe at incredible value
Style: 6621
Okay, where do I start... first, the product photos do it little just. This is an amazing upmarket time piece with an exceptional, premium build and finish. Definitely, first-buyer retail experience from the packaging to the unboxing and all the small details that scream extreme care and focus were applied when it was to be received upon delivery. Thr dial is possessed of an amazing chatoyance that shifts in the light and the subdials have a concentric ring of tiny circles which adds to the brilliant radiance of the allure of the Tanzanite-lapis dazzling color that is the engagement that, in person, totally convinced me that this is something special. All the fit and furnishings are spot on as specified in the description. I will definitely be making future purchases... ... show more

  • Good watch, for the price
Style: 6621
I bought this watch from Amazon for $[...], with free shipping. At $[...] it is a very nice watch for the price. (The suggested retail price tag that comes with this watch is $[...], which is laughable, as it is certainly not worth that amount. While Invicta was originally a Swiss company; it is now an American Company, with offices in Hollywood, Florida, and their watches are manufactured "somewhere in the far east"; presumably in China. Overall, I am pleased with the watch. it is a very nice looking watch. it is large in size; about 45 mm in diameter, and 13 mm high, and hefty. "Dainty"; it isn't, but it is what I wanted. The only owner instructions that came with this watch was a small sheet of illustrations showing how to set up the various functions and how to use the chronograph features. This one page sheet is actually called an "Instruction Manual" which is rather comical, but it does provide all the basic set up and use info. The watch comes with an included one year warranty, and Invicta also includes an application for an extended five year warranty, that would cost an additional $55, for this particular watch. Considering that this watch only cost $[...] new; and is a battery powered quartz type; it is essentially, a "throw away" watch; should anything major, go wrong with it beyond the included one year warranty. Why pay $55 for an extended warranty, plus return shipping, to have it repaired, for a watch that only cost $[...] new, with free shipping? Another factor to consider is that Invicta has a terrible reputation; relative to service and warranty work! I did not give this watch 5 stars because it was not flawless. The bezel calibration marks were clearly not in alignment with the inner calibration marks on the watch face, and there is no way to adjust or correct this. It is fairly obvious, and I noticed that other owners of this watch have voiced the same complaint in their reviews. Why Invicta hasn't correct this flaw is difficult to understand. The bezel also has a fair amount of free play in it, which is annoying, but considering that this is a $[...] watch, it isn't fair to expect Rolex type precision. In summary; I am pleased with the watch in spite of it's mentioned minor flaws. It is a very attractive watch that is certainly worth the $70 price. However; it's long term reliability, and durability, are obviously to be determined, but those factors apply to all new watches. "Time will tell"! ... show more

  • A Fine Offering from Invicta
Style: 6621
I will echo three of the points that other reviewers have made, while adding two points of my own. (1) It's true that the watch face is larger than the usual 40mm. However, on my wrist it appears normal size. Compared with my Invicta Men's 1013 II Collection Chronograph Dark Blue Dial watch, this one looks "normal" on my wrist. (2) As other reviewers have noted, the color of the dial is not nearly as bright-blue as it appears in the photo. It's more of a deep blue, about the same as the shade of the aforementioned Invicta Men's 1013 II Collection Chronograph Dark Blue Dial. (3) As one reviewer said, this watch is "shiny" but without appearing too flashy. It looks classy, yet elegant. The Amazon customer photos depict the actual color more accurately than Invicta's photo. (4) Understand that this watch is designed so that the sweeping second hand stops after 2 hours. At first I thought the watch was faulty, but then I found out that the watch is designed that way. It's no big deal, since the second subdial provides continual measurement of seconds, whereas the sweeping second hand is reserved for occasional chronograph/timing functions. As the instructions explain: "After 2 hours of continue[d] running, the chrono stops and resets automatically to save the battery." Although I'm guessing this is not the norm for chronographs -- e.g. it's not how my aforementioned Invicta 1013 works -- it is not unheard of. I've read about other watches that work this way. It doesn't bother me at all, and I'm pretty anal-retentive when it comes to time measurement. In fact, it makes sense: Otherwise, every time you wanted to use the watch as a stopwatch, you'd have to disrupt the regular timing. (5) This watch has a feature that you don't find on standard chronograph watches: One of the subdials tells you the day of the week. Maybe it's just because I am absentminded and sometimes lose track of which day it is, but I think that is a very nifty feature. It makes me feel as if I'm "giving up" less by retiring my digital Casio. All in all, this watch is an incredible value for the price. It is suitable for everyday wear, both formal and informal. ... show more

  • Great purchase, especially when considering the price
Style: 6621
I purchased this watch on Amazon just over 9 months ago. I read all of the reviews prior to making my purchase and after reviewing Amazon's return policy decided that I would take a chance. I never expected to receive a $300+ watch for only $59, but I was hoping that at least it would be on the upper end of a $59 timepiece. When I received the watch, I couldn't believe that I got it for only $59! I have a small collection of watches (about 40), most of which are in the $250 range (Citizen, Bulova, etc). This watch is a contender to any watch in my collection as far as quality, dependability and style are concerned. I wear this watch EVERYDAY and I am constantly getting compliments on it. It has held up well, I am still on the original battery and the crystal is still scratch free. the links are still shiny with no corrosion or discoloring (some of my Fossil watches have this). The buttons are firm and smooth and operate properly. The finish on the watch still looks new, very scratch resistant. The only thing I have noticed is an occasional clinking noise coming from the band. It sounds like loose metal pieces clanging around. The noise is very faint, I can only hear it when my hand is 18" or less away from my ear. Also, the noise comes and goes, but is mostly gone. I have only noticed it 4 or 5 times in the 9 months I have had the watch. I have noticed that the price has gone up to just over $100. I don't know if I would have taken the chance at that price but in my opinion, it is still a great buy especially when you consider Amazon's excellent return policy. ... show more

  • Best quality for the money.
Style: 6621
This is the least expensive of all my watches. With that said, I am super impressed with the quality. Bezel has no play but easy to turn with the pronounced teeth. The royal blue is more elegant and dressy versus a standard blue. The sunburst dial is classy - this can get away as a dress watch. This looks more sophisticated with the tachymeter even though I don't really have a use for it. Nice brushed and polished stainless steel finish. The chronograph is decent. Quartz keeps great time as far as I can tell. What I don't like is that it's not automatic. The date window is small - it could use a small cyclops window or just make the date bigger. No screw down crown but crown guard a plus. I like Invicta watches. It's a perfect size for my wrist. It's not a Rolex or whatever but it is affordable. A keeper for sure. Hope the battery lasts a long time. ... show more
