Now I remember why they put the zipper in the back. They put the zipper in the back not to make it easier to get on, but so it’s easier to get off. Zipping it up as a piece of cake but after you unzip it, you still have to get it off over your shoulders and your shoulders don’t bend that way. In general, the size is pretty close to true, perhaps slightly small but not an entire size too small. But the shoulders are very tight and that makes it even harder to remove. It does not have any of the non-friction surfaces inside that help. Zipper construction quality is excellent. Seams are securely sewn, but not double sewn so I don’t know how durable it will be. Salt water can be very corrosive. . Believe it or not, the difficulty in removing the wetsuit alone is actually worse in the shorty than the regular long sleeve version. At least on the long version you can reach your cuffs and pull that way. It’s not good for the wetsuit but at least you can remove it. It took me a full 10 minutes to remove the shorty when alone. If they’re going to put the zipper on the front - which is fine - they need to give you a hand handhold or something on the shoulder so that you’re able to get the wetsuit off without someone helping you

Quick Take: Finally a well fitting suit with full mobility for highly active larger individuals. Amazing freedom of movement for SUP, Kayaking, swimming, jet ski and more. What Works: With 70-plus degrees in December, this suit has proven perfect for a day on the water in Colorado when the rest of the country is buried in snow or ice. From outdoor reservoir to outdoor semi-heated pool, this comfortable 2mm suit kept me warm and active outdoors throughout the winter holidays. An excellent investment that kept me warm for hours in a variety of outdoor conditions. No chafing, reduction of movement, or discomfort in any way. Easy to clean and maintain after each use ~ just rinse it down with fresh water and lay flat or hang to dry. A great addition that has already added hours and days to my outdoor water fun. Love the front zipper that made getting it on and off much easier compared to other suits I've tried. ⚠️ Minor Improvement: The only improvement I would make is a shoulder-assist loop for after-use removal when you're still wet and the 2mm wants to keep you warm. Bottom Line: This well fitting wetsuit has for larger sizes has truly added more active days throughout the year to my outdoor water activities.

I really like how extra stretchy the neoprene for this wetsuit is. It feels great under the fingers and to wear. It's definitely far stretchier than my 3mm wetsuit. Of course it's only for when you don't need a lot of insulation, but if that's the situation, this would be a great option to have. The key pocket is a nice idea but doesn't seem useful to me. It's large enough to fit a regular key, but not a card-type key, and of course I can't put my electronic key fob in it since the saltwater would kill it right away. I ordered a large based off the size chart. I wish they had better sizing advice for people who are short but not willow-thin, since my height puts me in a size small by the chart and my other measurements put me in a large. I'm used to dealing with this issue with wetsuits but it really does make it more difficult to guess what size is going to fit snugly enough to function properly and yet also not be too snug to be comfortable. I find this wearable but not as ideally comfortable as I would like it to be (I am 5 feet 2.75 inches tall).

I usually wear a size 3X, so I ordered the 4X shorty wetsuit hoping for a comfortable fit, but unfortunately it was still way too tight. I could barely move at all once it was on. The material feels nice and thick, but the sizing runs much smaller than expected, so keep that in mind when ordering.

I got this shorty wetsuit for my husband for an upcoming trip, and he's really impressed. The 2mm ultra-stretch neoprene makes it incredibly flexible and comfortable, not restrictive like some other suits can be. The front zip design makes it super easy to get on and off, which is a big plus. It provides great thermal protection for warmer water sports like snorkeling or diving. It seems very well made and durable. He's normally an XL, but I sized up and got a XX-Large and the fit was spot on. He has a long torso, so keep that in mind if you're a little taller.
