Amazing set, probably my favorite this year. Easy and fun to put together, looks and feels great. You can actually press down on the buttons and joystick with buoyancy, so cool!. You can actually put the cartridges inside the Lego gameboy and it’s very easy to switch out the front holo screen. Comes with stands for the gameboy and one of the games and the backside of the stand for the gameboy game is a slot for the rest of the holo screens. There are so many cool little details on this thing and it when you pick it up, it just feels like a gameboy. Well worth the money! ... show more

This is my first adult Lego purchase, I have been debating due to price of getting a set and once I saw this game it set I Instantly pre ordered. The nostalgia and the cool factor sold me. I literally just opened it an hour ago to check it out and started to build and I’m hooked, time flew by, the feeling of seeing the bricks fit together and things starting to form is relaxing and exciting. I hope this isn’t the start of an expensive hobby, the level of detail is great and honestly it is worth the price . It’s to scale so it actually feels like you’re holding the real deal. I see why people like these sets. If you’re an 80’s/90’s kid or just like retro tech this set is a great addition to any collection or a great starting point to a new hobby. ... show more

    • New Lego Set With A Heavy Dose of Nostalgia (And I LOVE It!)
Arrived earlier than anticipated, to which I have absolutely zero complaints, whatsoever! It had every piece, with a few extra pieces per bag. I LOVE the attention to detail the building set has: the buttons feels interactive, the knobs controlling both the contrast (quote-unquote brightness) and the volume feels authentic, the on-off switch DEFINITELY brings me back (the instructions weren't kidding), even the game cartridges and lenticular screens were fantastic! And I also love the display stands for not only one of the Game Boy cartridges (and the screens), but also the Game Boy itself! And for this being 60 bucks, it was all worth it! I hope that we'll get more Lego Game Boy cartridges (and lenticular screens) in the future. I would LOVE to see the Pokémon game cartridges done this way. Maybe even a Lego Game Boy Color would be a possibility. Anyways, enough of that, I highly recommend getting it if you're either a gamer, a Lego fan, or both! ... show more

    • A Fun Lego Build That brings Nostalgia
I Purchased this Lego Game Boy for Nostalgia and also because I enjoy Lego. Putting this build together was fun , it was easy to follow the directions from the paper book even though I usually use the Lego Builder app ( When i recieved this set the instructions were not in the App yet ). The Push Buttons and Dpad being able to be pushed down and automatically pop up is cool. I also enjoy the interchangeable screens and the fact that the size is super accurate to an original Game boy. For a Lego Set the price was good as well. ... show more

Love this! Detail is great! This was my first handheld console as a kid and still have my actual original gameboy (modded with a backlit screen) There are some cool details with this kit. Without spoiling too much, one of the cartridge details actually has a save battery (lego) just like the original game having a save battery. Such a cool throwback kit. Would have liked Tetris as Tetris and Super Mario Lands were my first two games I had. The buttons and be pushed, contrast and volumes dials spin. So happy with this kit. This is a must by kit for anyone any age, lego fan, gamer fan. Just get it. ... show more

Solid, fun build with some Easter eggs sprinkled in. Edit: I realized I placed the top piece wrong on Super Mario — it actually goes on the far left so there’s a little notch in the top right, just like the original. ;)
