My first attempt at buying a replacement for my beloved X-box was met with immediate heartbreak as I couldn’t get the disc drive to even open. I contacted Amazon and was offered a replacement. I was upset but I understood that with refurbished items, you sometimes have a dud. The replacement arrived within days and at first seemed much better. It actually opened! Twice. After playing one game for several days, I decided to change games and it wouldn’t open. I eventually managed to get my disc out after several minutes of trying, but I didn’t quite trust it, so I allowed the device to close without a disc. I’m glad I did, because it never opened again. This time when I contacted Amazon I was only offered a refund. I will of course take my money and run. The fact that it was the exact same part that failed twice in a row leads me to believe that their quality control is seriously lacking.
