Finally decided that I must own a Playstation 2 Console at an affordable price so I thought I would take a chance on second hand (Used) Unit. The seller shipped fast and I received the console in just four days.It was packed well. The console was the older "Fat unit" which was just what i wanted.There was also a Sony wired controller that was included. The console works flawlessly and ii am presently playing I C O. a very graphic beautiful game that puts the hardware through a good test. The only problem i had was the start button not working on the controller. This would have been a problem, but the price i paid for the console was fair and i was able to secure another controller from my neighbor. I am sure I will be able to fix the problem with the controller once i open it up and troubleshoot it. There are some games that play without needing the start button (GTA SA). Anyway it was probably an oversight and i don't hold it against the seller. A working console is what i set out for and i got it. I give the seller 5 stars.

The console works, which is ultimately the better of outcomes. I say that because I purchased multiple consoles from other sellers and all those consoles were dead on arrival. To have one actually work is incredible. However curb your enthusiasm on everything else. As you can see from the image, the console is filthy and the expansion cover port is missing. The missing cover isn't a big deal, but the dirt is causing the disc tray to jitter when it opens and I can hear the gears grind. I'm calling around to my local repair shops to see if there is anyone with the experience to open and clean it. I'm sure it's not a big deal for me to clean it, but after finally finding a console that works, I'm scared that even a wrong look will break it.

Bought mine from Seller Cartridges Galore. I'm located in California and this product got to me in about 2-3 days - WAY before the arrival estimate by Amazon. I was really concerned buying a used PS2 because you really don't know what condition it's going to be in. I decided to go with Amazon instead of a yard sale because you can read reviews from others. When I got it, it was EXTREMELY dusty and grimy looking and I was worried. I wiped it down, blew it out with some air, and wiped it down again. Then I threw in an old Crash Bandicoot game and voila`!! Works perfect!! I haven't tried putting in my old memory cards yet, so I can't give feedback on that. Seems like a really solid console. My old PS2 was a slim, but I think I much prefer this one. You can hear the fan going, but so far after being on for 3 hours, it's not super hot or anything so I'm guessing the fan does it's job! On a side note: the Seller was awesome when I had to contact them about something minor. They responded within 12 hours, admitted they were human, and took care of the problem a.s.a.p. I would definitely recommend. (:

Seems to be very good condition. It's playing all the discs I've purchased from multiple sources. I purchased all required components and it's working as beautifully as the day it was probably sold to someone for $300 or more probably a pre-order.

I had a PS2 console when I was younger. Somewhere over the years, I lost it, so I decided to purchase one on Amazon. I did a lot of research on who I wanted to purchase one from and decided on RockSteadyUSA: they had excellent reviews and even included pictures of a pristine PS2 complete with all cables, official PS2 controller and memory card, unopened instructions, and the original box in “very good condition.” So, safe to say, I had found the PS2 for me. So, when I opened the box, tonight, imagine my surprise when I am met with a raggedy PS2 box with multiple holes and packing tape holding the bottom of it together. It gets worse as I open the box, and everything in it reeks of cigarettes. Already, I am uneasy, but that goes straight to frustration when I see the cords for the PS2. They are so obviously messed up. WHY would they have even been sold in the first place? One looks like it had been gnawed on, and the other one was broken down the middle. To make matters worse, there are scratches EVERYWHERE on the console. And to top it off, the power outlet in the back has been smashed and is broken. Do yourself a favor and stay away from RockSteadyUSA; they clearly do not value their customers. Now, having said that, if you can find an honest seller who sells a great PS2 console, get it! My brother found one on EBay in pristine condition, so I guess I’ll play GTA III on it until I find one for myself. It’s an amazing console. I’m sad that new ones are so expensive because if I had the money, I’d totally get a new one. Kudos to Amazon for being awesome and getting me packing labels so I can return this piece of junk. I have included pictures of the PS2 I received. Buyer beware...
