  • The best little camping lantern you can buy. Safe to use inside, as it’s not run propane
Material Type: Blue Style: 400 LR
I love this lantern! It has several settings and all are pretty bright. The charge lasts a long time too! I feel asleep for 3 hrs and it still had a charge. It’s compact too and will fit into a large purse or suitcase. The only downside, it attracted the bugs like crazy.

  • Tough Light USB Rechargeable Camping Lantern, 1000 Lumens
Great light, very easy to recharge and use !

  • well built, holds a long charge. quick delivery
We live in southern California and the power company (SCE) started implementing rolling blackouts so they don't get sued because of wind causing a fire. These lights are bright and last a long time on one charge. I have a few of these around the house. They complement our generator (also bought on Amazon). Quick charging, doesn't flicker, it can be hung, but we use ours as stand alone lights. ... show more

  • will the Tough Light be as tough as my Stream light Siege ???
Material Type: Mud Style: 400 LR
I am a avid camper (not hiker) I dry camp and prefer to go where there are no other people or where ever my Jeep will take me, recently I started to upgrade my equipment and go all rechargeable I have three charge ports in my Jeep and one in my small pop up camper that has a deep cycle battery with a accessory port, I also have a few power banks and a very cool very portable jump box (purchased from Amazon) that I can use as a power bank if required, so with all that power available why worry about did I bring the batteries for this or that ?? I also purchased (from Amazon ) a great little 1100 lumen recargable tactical flash light so I'm RECHARGE READY !! I have a Streamlight Siege lantern that I'm very high on, that lantern is high quality and very well built !! so when looking for the rechargeable version Super Siege I stumbled on the Tough Light it had basically the same features at a bout half the price (also half the lumens I decided I didn't need 1100 lumens) so it arrived as promised (kudos to Amazon again) so here are my first impressions, it does not appear to be as rugged as the Stream light, but it seems to function well exactly as described, the defuser works well at belt or waist level as indicated in the tips section of owners manual. my biggest concern is the hanging hook that pales in comparison to the siege lantern !! it appears very flimsy, also by putting a slight V in the carrying handle like the Siege it could have been easily hung from a rope or branch with out using the supplied plastic carabineer, that being said it was 1/2 the price of the Streamlight Super Siege , the size and weight are good, if the battery life lives up to the advertised amount of hours I will be able to overlook the short comings, time will tell on the durability, I'm pretty easy on my stuff , this light did get good reviews so we will see how it goes , I will update after several camping trips it may get 4 stars if the cheap plastic hook does not break. Im more than willing to give it a chance.' I have updated my review of The Tough Light, and will be sharing what I believe is a useful hack. after using it around the house it's growing on me. it's straight forward and easy to use and I like the blinking red home light I think it's useful. now the hack, I understand the technology behind the reflector and the diffuser in the globe however the LED light is a very harsh white light I know the diffuser was designed to distribute the light in the most effective and useful way but the ring of light it produces is annoying and hard on the ol peepers. there is a easy fix or hack for this !! I went in to momma's baking supplies and cut a strip of her parchment paper into a strip then formed it in to a cylinder and inserted it into the globe !! this made the light significantly softer while not drastically reducing the brightness level of the light , its a easy non permanent mod that is easily removed if necessary. I upgraded from 3 to 4 stars since this light seems to have checked off almost all of my need boxes, however I can not give it 5 stars due to the flimsy plastic hanging hook . I have good reason to be apprehensive about that hook I have two older Energizer lanterns with similar plastic hooks and they now can only sit on a table because of their flimsy (broken) plastic hook designs, So Tough Lite update/ improve that hook and may 5 stars !!! ... show more

  • Quality reliable unit
Material Type: Mud Style: 400 LR
Great quality illuminates 3 intensities which affect battery length cycle. On its dimmest setting it will last for a couple of days I found, and you can see in the darkest condition on that setting. So, for the price these are worth every nickel, for the quality and service life. My oldest one of these is over 6 years old and still working great. ... show more

  • Love These
Material Type: Mud Style: 400 LR
Typhoons and earthquakes knock out our power 2 to 3 times a year. These things have been great. Durable build and reliable. Incredible battery life and can be hung or stand alone. The modern day "one if by land and two if by sea." So but at least two. I did.
