These take 3 AAA batteries and have three settings - bright, dim and flashing. I got them for my kids for camp but we've used them often for other purposes, like lights in pillow forts, reading light at bedtime and most recently when we had a power outage from fierce weather. Each kid got their own light to use instead of a flashlight. We were even able to hang these light bulbs from our light fixtures and had enough illumination to play some board games that night of the power outage. The loop and clip is a simple yet smart and versatile feature. I am changing my original rating from 4 to 5 stars. I am buying another pack, even though the first pack I bought years ago are still good, I am going to put one on each floor where we keep the flashlights.

These tent lamps are great, stylish and long lasting on batteries. I will buy additional sets for perfect lighting wherever needed. We even walk at night with a lamp when camping. You can hang them everywhere!

I recently leased a new climate controlled storage unit, and was a little dismayed it had no lighting inside. I needed something to provide light towards the back as the hallway lights really don't supply much. There's a metal grate above the unit, and so I looked for something battery operated I could hang on the grating. Pros: - The hangers worked perfectly for what I needed - Pack of 4 was decent for what I needed - Price is reasonable - Lightweight - Comes with the hanging clip - Colors are nice - Brightness is okay (not great) - Can adjust the light dimmer to conserve battery life Cons: - They are small, so a little under the size of a regular light bulb - The light seems bright, but in a larger area, seems to dissipate, glad I have 4 - Could do without the strobe when shutting off Summary: This is really a fit for purpose product, which is a good thing. I think they would be good for a small area where lighting is needed, however, you'd probably need to use all 4 or get 2 packages if a larger area. I've only started using them, and at the most 3 times for about 10-15 minutes each so can't vouch for the battery life. Hopefully it can last a while, as these take 3 AAA batteries each, so that's 12 batteries and batteries are expensive. If I could, I would give a 4.5, so a solid 4 and I certainly would buy again if needed.

These small cute flashlights are pretty bright for the size they are. They are perfect for child size hands. You can hang them off of a rope or a belt loop if needed. My children just carry their own color around. The pack I got has four colors so there is bo fighting amongst who's flashlight is who's. They do take batteries in case anyone is wondering, but last for more than one camping weekend trip if not constantly turned on.
