I bought 2 lanterns in dec 2023, for emergency situations, so it is not used very often and I can count on my hand how many times I used them. Until last week, Jul 2025 they all worked well, but one of them is no longer turning on the collapsible lantern. The batteries lasted well and were left fully charged after each use, and I always liked all the features of the magnet and the option to use AA batteries, the brightness was also great. I am now giving one star because for me, this is the kind of thing that needs to be reliable when you need them, and given the number of times I used it, this is not acceptable for me if fails on an emergency situation.

The lamp seems to work, but the warranty QR code doesn’t work at all. The description says it has a lifetime guarantee, but the product warranty card says it has a 3 month warranty, but the seller won’t write back about any of this. We’ll see, it feels cheap enough that it may last a day, or if it’s better than it feels, it may last a year or so, but either way, the company isn’t willing to honor their word on the warranty, so I wouldn’t buy anything from them.

One stopped working after just a month, but customer service refused to replace the item or even discuss how to fix the issue. Original review: I’m very happy with these lanterns. They’re super bright, lightweight, and sold at a good price. I haven’t had the chance to see how long they last.

The type of USB connector this product uses is the type that breaks off easily. I purchased some higher quality cables, but the female parts inside the lantern failed. The lanterns are bright when plugged in, but lose brightness as soon as disconnected. The light might last for hours, but gets progressively dimmer the whole time, so light is not bright enough most of that time.

The Ezorkas 2 pack: Charging is super easy; two usb charging cables are included in the box. Just plug into whatever charging device you have available. The lanterns are compact, lightweight and offer several lighting options. The unit has a side handle to hold as a flashlight, dual handles to use as a lantern and magnets for mounting. Product flaws are that the brightness cannot light up a room. It can provide some light to the limited area you are standing in but not much. The next flaw is that the lantern does not keep its brightness very long. 20-30 minutes of use before the light begins to fade. It’s usefulness is downhill from there. If you know the performance limitations in advance and still think you have a use for it, then good for you. Don’t expect much reliability.

Update on December 20, 2019: it’s about two and a half months since I purchased these lanterns. I used them only a couple of times. We had an outage the other night. I took both lanterns out but to find that one of them did not work. Tried different sets of batteries and charging the built-in rechargeable battery with my portable charger to no avail. There lanterns are not expensive, but the per-use cost is absurdly high. Not recommended. I previously purchased three similar lanterns of a different brand. I forgot to remove batteries from one of the lantern, and the batteries leaked and killed the lantern. I purchased EZORKAS to replenish the broken lantern in preparation for the public safety shutoff in northern California. I was not expect much from these lanterns until I actually received them and started using them. The EZORKAS lantern has a handle on the side so that I could also use it as a flash light. It has pretty strong magnets at the bottom, and this magnetic base comes in handy when I am working in my shop. The red warning lights are a nice touch, but I hope I won't have a chance to use them. I also like the dual power source - builtin rechargeable battery plus 3xAA batteries. I haven't tested the battery life though. Overall, I like EZORKAS much better than those two other brands I purchased.

I very rarely return or rate products, but I felt compelled in this case. I took both lanterns camping, both fully charged via USB and both stocked with fresh AA batteries. I tested each quickly prior to leaving. Lucky for me that I did take both (2 is 1) as one lantern did not power on at all. I checked the battery compartment and found all three batteries split and leaking acid. I took the batteries out and tried again - the lantern was DOA. I quickly removed the AA batteries from the remaining lantern and that unit worked well. For part of the first night anyway. I used it in the tent for under 2 hours in total and after that the lantern was barely bright enough to light the tent enough for me to get ready for bed. I may have just gotten unlucky - but I had serious issues with both units. They are lightweight and I really liked the idea of dual-purpose flashlight and lantern, but they left me in a lurch with my kiddos and I do not recommend this product.

Both lanterns I received were not bright at all. After being fully charged, I placed them on the middle of a small room. They hardly gave off enough light to match tjr brightness of two candles. Also, they only hold a charge for around 45 minutes. Will be returning them soon.
