I wanted this fan for camping and when we go to the beach. After reading my reviews on different fans, I decided this was going to be my Best Buy. Once the product arrived, I was not disappointed. This fan is lightweight and built with quality materials. It was easy to remove the top to access the battery compartment. Put in two D cell batteries, and you’re all set. The different settings on the fan are a great feature as well as the light. The hook makes it great to hang from the center of the tent. This fan puts out a decent amount of cool air. The light definitely comes in handy when it is super dark and you’re trying to find something or simply get in and out of the tent without tripping over something. I have not used it enough yet to know how long the batteries will last but it’s easy enough to carry a spare set whether you were camping out at the beach or simply relaxing somewhere. This fan is set at a great price point and performs wonderfully. I got this to go camping, and it worked amazingly!!! The light is super bright, and the fan worked great. It was warm, so the fan created a nice breeze when I used it. I also hung it from the ceiling of my tent, & that was the only time I didn't feel it as much; however, it kept the air from getting stale in my tent, so I was a happy camper. I kept it with me at night as I went on walks because it had a sturdy handle and the light was very bright, so I had to make sure I didn't point it up towards someone's face. ... show more

This lantern is what I've been looking for for years. There are many products out there that are similar but don't quite have it all together. This one is the perfect combination of all the features one needs from a device you'll be relying on in the middle of the woods. The LED light can be super bright or make a nice nightlight. The fan is powerful enough to keep the air in my 10-person tent from getting stagnant. But what I truly love about the device is the thought that went into its shape. It can easily be hung from a loop at the top of most tents. Once it's hung, it's light and fan are easy to turn on or off. The light illuminates a large area, making it feel like indoor ceiling lighting. Meanwhile, the fan is essentially a portable ceiling fan, making things more comfortable. The only thing missing is a rechargeable feature. Batteries are fine, but they can die at the worst time. A rechargeable battery option would make great backup power and could be charged in a car.     • As advertised, but just "okay"
This item is just okay. It works pretty well as advertised, but the "fan" portion really just provides white noise opposed to actual air circulation. It's kind of bulky to transport. Although it's easy to setup, I ended up replacing this item with a different lantern and light. I couldn't figure out what it was, but there was also a light chittering noise when the fan was on. Absolutely love these lanterns however, I do wish that they were rechargeable versus being battery operated. I went camping for three days with this and had to change my batteries once so the battery life was pretty good. It’s very lightweight and portable it hangs at the top of my tent. The light is so bright would definitely purchase again and the fan that is built in on this it’s pretty powerful kept my entire tent cool overnight ... show more
