I wanted this fan for camping and when we go to the beach. After reading my reviews on different fans, I decided this was going to be my Best Buy. Once the product arrived, I was not disappointed. This fan is lightweight and built with quality materials. It was easy to remove the top to access the battery compartment. Put in two D cell batteries, and you’re all set. The different settings on the fan are a great feature as well as the light. The hook makes it great to hang from the center of the tent. This fan puts out a decent amount of cool air. The light definitely comes in handy when it is super dark and you’re trying to find something or simply get in and out of the tent without tripping over something. I have not used it enough yet to know how long the batteries will last but it’s easy enough to carry a spare set whether you were camping out at the beach or simply relaxing somewhere. This fan is set at a great price point and performs wonderfully. If you were looking for a decent size fan compact enough for camping yet big enough to put out a decent amount of air with the added light. This product is a great option. ... show more

We used it while camping and it was able to light up the tent and cool it down in the middle of summer. I love that it uses battery's instead or recharging as I was not able to recharge anything on the trip but did bring extra batteries just incase. I would recommend it to anyone tent camping.

    • Lasted all weekend long on a new set of batteries!
I bought this for our first camping trip and it was very useful. It was placed in the middle of the tent, hanging down and the buddy heater below it. We didn’t need to use the fan to distribute the heat, but instead used the lights in the evening. Boy was it bright on the low setting. The medium lit the entire 10 person tent like a regular room light. After camping, I tried using it as a desktop fan while I work and it came in handy. There are three fan setting and I was perfectly fine with it on the low setting. I angled it so I could feel the breeze but not get too cold if it’s blowing directly in my face. I started to use it on Wednesday afternoon. It was perfect and I didn’t need to turn the big fan or AC on. Perfect solution. Continued to use it on Thursday and Friday. But forgot that it was on all weekend long. I didn’t even hear the fan running. That’s how quiet it was. Come Sunday evening, I sit at my desk to check emails and to my surprise this fan was still chugging along. It wasn’t breezy on low, it you could see that it’s spinning and get minimal feel of the wind. This lasted on brand new batteries all weekend long! I only deduct a star because of the switch. They’re too close to each other and instead of a slide switch it could be something else. Other than that, love this fan. The handle are good and don’t feel weird either. You can hang this or prop it up. Another great feature is that the led lights can go one way and the fan another. I kept the box so that it stay in great condition. ... show more

I got it for my emergency kit. We recently lost power and I used it to get some air moving. It's pretty powerful for how small it is. I like that there is several ways to change it. The solar power charging works great. I also used a USB cable to charge it. I like that it takes only 2 size D batteries also. I would definitely buy it again. ... show more

    • Not a powerful fan, won't cool your tent.
We used to have a Coleman tent fan that worked great for over 15 years before the motor gave out. I bought 2 of these to replace that to use in our tent & to use in our truck for the rare occasion when we have to leave one of the dogs in there for a short period of time. Unfortunately, they are not very sturdy & one of the fans broke before we could ever use it. The other fan worked, but really didn't do much to move the air & cool the tent or the truck. It just wasn't very powerful. We couldn't feel the air unless we put our hands about 2 inches in front of it. The LED light was bright & seemed to work well, but that was not the main reason for our purchase. ... show more

This is an awesome fan and light! We all love it. We took it with us camping and it’s worth having a small fan and light. 1. Know its puts out a fair amount of breeze for a small fan. 2. The light is just right for a small area. Great portability! It’s light weight, and good size! Warning: you may have to buy more than one for your family members, everyone will want it!     • Plastic is falable but it worked.
The plastic hook broke off but I tied it up with a piece of paracord. Lit and circulated the air in our tent on a two day trip on a single set of batteries. Made things much more comfortable than without.
