    • It’s pretty good.
I bought this for a recent camping trip. I didn’t use the fan during the trip but when I tested it out it seemed to work really well. The light was very bright and was used as our main light during the trip. It came with a charging cable but don’t lose it. It’s one of those that goes from a wall outlet to the specific port on the base. Its also very short. It does charge up pretty quickly when you use the cable. The solar charging works but it’s slower than outlet charger. The shell is made of plastic so it’s pretty lightweight. It does come with thin metal handles on the top that fold to the sides and one on the side. Overall it works as intended. I originally got it for the solar aspect. I used it for three days and left it hanging in my tent most of the time. It still charged through the tent which is really nice. I only used the light on this trip so it may not hold as much of a charge if you use the fan as well. ... show more

this thing is so junky. I put it on charger as soon as i got it. a couple hours later i was sitting next to charging lantern and it arced! I was planning a 2 week camping trip to Sturgis from ohio. I didnt have the time to send it back so I tried to fix it. It wasnt worth the time or money.

So far, this unit has great light and battery life but there are some significant cons that would stop me from buying this again. 1. Fan is very loud. 2. Recharging this unit requires the special cable that comes with it. It is not a standard USB cable to recharge so you need to make sure you don't lose it or you have to charge it from solar. 3. Fan only has 1 speed 4. For fan being so loud and spinning so fast, it has very poor air flow. Pros: 1. Light is very bright. 2. Battery lasts a long time 3. Charges by solar. Honestly, if I didn't throw away the box, I would send this back. It's not worth the money. ... show more
