TIP: I have several of these lights in my kitchen - under cabinets. I converted two of the outlets there using the item below. The current top review here mentioned they come on ALL the time with motion, regardless of light. Mine don't do that. If there's enough light in the kitchen, they stay off. But when it's dark, they are quick to see me and come on. That simple feature could have been omitted to save cost but it's essential to maximize the battery life and just adds to the value. A bit pricey, but I'm feeling I got my moneys worth considering the overall design, quality of light output, and ease of use. Especially with the magnets. I stuck one underneath my metal range hood to light up the kitchen. The extra mounting pads is a nice touch - many skimp on that sort of thing. UPDATE - Dec 2023 I won't admit how many of these I have now but needless to say I'm still thrilled with them. Wanted to share an update on the current version that's shipping. The ones I received in October came in new packaging and have different mounting hardware. At first I though they had cut corners to save money. But, they actually made it better by including holes in the mounting hardware for instances where sticky mount was just not an option. So far sticky mount has worked fine for me but I like having the option without having to drill a hole in the mount. The ones that get used (come on) most often seem to last 2-3 weeks. Ones in closets that I don't go into often will probably last months. I have extras now that just stay charged so when one needs charging, I just swap it with at fully charged one. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I ordered these lights for my kitchen pantry and linen closet. They really work well as nd are quite bright, which is what I wanted. I love that they have a motion sensor snd stay on a good amount of time. Lights are super easy to install and use. You can set them to stay on or use the motion sensor. They come with everything you need to install them and charge when needed. PROS: Easy to install, quality item, motion sensor works well, lights stay on for a good amount of time, versatile, light comes on when fully charged, easy to remove for charging. I bought these for my dad when he needed some light to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. But he said they were just too bright. So I brought them home and they sat for months. I finally decided to charge one of them and install it under the cabinet above my kitchen sink. Love it!!!! Pointing down to the sink it's not as bright as having it on the wall pointing straight at you. Charges quickly and lasts about a month or so. In the middle of the night when I need to get water it's perfect and turns itself off after I walk away. I'm trying to figure out where to put the other one! Technically I could charge the second one and just keep switching them out as one is charging bur they charge kinda fast. Just install the holding brackets, put the light in and the light easily stays put. They're magnetic so I don't have to see where it needs to go I just feel where the brackets are and it "snaps" right onto the brackets. Maybe I'll buy a second set to put up for power outages. ... show more

I absolutely love these light sticks. I've been adding motion sensor night lights to bathrooms, but I really needed one in my basement - night lights just weren't enough down there. I am used to walking down the stairs and through the room I'm turning on the lights - I've done it for 20 years, but my new partner doesn't do "dark" well, and this basement is new to him. Light switches are in awkward spaces. These are magnetic and rechargeable so an outlet is not a requirement. I happen to have a magnetic whiteboard in the basement and I can easily leave a C charger close by. When the package came in I attached the first one to the side of my refrigerator - where else do you put magnets - it lights up my coffee maker corner really well - It is staying there. In the basement I found that the whiteboard didn't provide quite the right angle for early enough motion detection. I almost attached one of the provided metal strips, couldn't decide where exactly. And then I found a can of rug cleaner!!! The light sticks to it perfectly. I can aim it where I want and if I can pick it up and it becomes a flashlight!!
