    • Very clever tap light

My wife had a tap light in her closet because there's no other light in there, and no easy way to fish a wire to put a light in there. This was a gen 1 tap light - fluorescent, clunky, not that bright, and ate batteries. I'm pleased that this technology has improved. This one uses a very bright LED, and four taps cycles it through four different settings - bright white, bright yellow, dim white, dim yellow, and then off. It is important to note that once it has been on for five seconds or so in any setting, the next tap turns it off, so you don't have to cycle through all four taps to turn it off every time. She has it pointed at the ceiling, and the bright white easily illuminates the whole space. The light itself holds to the base with a strong magnet, so it is easy to pop it off and take it to a USB port somewhere to recharge the battery. I haven't done that yet, so I can't say how long the battery lasts, but I would hazard a guess that it is several hours, which in this application - lighting up a closet for maybe a minute while my wife selects clothing - it may not need to be recharged for months and months. The base adheres to the wall using a small adhesive strip - I thought it probably would not hold for the duration, so I augmented it with a couple of screws.     • Small, portable and rechargable. Perfect for closets or Shed
I got this for my shed. I have a battery based light in my shed as there is no power line, but the challenge with the battery lights are that they need battery replacements. I was looking for a rechargable light for the same but the couple I looked at didn't offer me the ability to mount it to the stud, or be adjustable to the extent this one is. I was able to stick it to one of the studs, the rest of the light easily clamps on it and I can either remove it from the stand and bring home to charge, or best of all, since it is usb-c, I can use one of the battery pack to charge it. Since it is easily rotatable to most of the shed, it works great for me. I love the ability to set different intensity of lights as well as the mood and since I don't need to fumble for the switch in the dark, I can turn it on by just a touch at the back. It is reasonably priced and solves a need for portable and rechargable lights in small places. ... show more
