I hate ladders. They are shaky, unstable, and make me very nervous. Bring in this invention, and I’m now cleaning first floor gutters and replacing all of the plywood and siding on the back of our garage, and feeling very safe and secure! (***I am fairly sure this is meant for inside use, but I just make sure it’s steady, with no “rocking” before I step up.) —> The fold down tray at the top has slots for my two screwdrivers, a hammer, and my paint scraper, and areas to place my old nails, and my drill or electric stapler. and I need instruction with every screw given. also no number, very pleased with my ladder and my RV repair professional has one at his home. But he finished and i got my glasses, see screws numbered two allen wrenches. no further information. it showes two what evers going in but no further instructions needed. Put it together by myself in about 30 minutes. Comes with all you need to assemble it. I did watch a few videos on YouTube watching unboxings before hand. So I knew what to expect. The ladder is nice and stable. I weigh 200 lbs and am able to climb up to the 4th step without feeling nervous about the height, since I have the rails to hold onto. The steps are a little narrow. But the same with as most ladders. I would recommend this especially for older people, or people afraid of heights. Also being able to use the rails to pull myself up, is very helpful since I have arthritis in my knees. It is heavy for me to move. But then that helps keep it steady for climbing on. I wanted to put Christmas lights on the garage but only had an unsturdy extension ladder. On this the hand rails give me confidence and the steps are easy. I also have a cat that often gets stuck on the roof. I can get her with ease. So she likes this ladder too. It is very good quality.

Purchased this ladder specifically for the handrails, got the 5-step version. Good: -Sturdy, but not too heavy (it's steel, not aluminum) -Rails are very useful (You attach them yourself, may need additional tightening after first deployment, keep the allen key handy) -Riser distance is good, even for people with shorter legs -Top step is larger to reduce fatigue -Easily reached the ceiling (10'2") with a paint brush, and I am 5'9" with short arms Could be better: -The top step could be larger (deeper), my size 11 feet overhung a little, but still an improvement over regular sized steps. It says it’s good up to a certain weight and I thought the width would fit but I didn’t think about needing to raise my knee to go up steps. There was no way I’d fit between the rails! With all of the obese people someone needs to do this ladder but add 12” to the width. But I got the brainy idea to remove one rail. Now it works! It does not feel sturdy under my weight which is mostly in the legs of my 5’2” frame (over 300 lb). But it did hold me the other night - made 3 trips. But anyone older should own one of these. I’ve had family members with major injuries from falling off regular ladders when they got older. This is like climbing stairs. ... show more
