These lights are terrific. I own three and have them in three separate closets. They have motion detection. They give off plenty of light and you can set them so they automatically turn off after 17 seconds of no motion. They are rechargeable and the first one I bought lasted about 6 months before I needed to recharge it. The other two I ordered about 4 months ago and haven’t had to recharge them yet. These are super easy to install. There is tape that you peel off and stick the mount to the wall. I’m not sure how hard that would be to get off, but I use command strips for pretty much everything I can, so I did it with my own strips instead of theirs. The light itself attaches to the mount magnetically which is extra awesome. You can grab the light to look further into a hard to see area and simply put the light back up, or you can play Jedi and use it as a light saber (just kidding, the force may not be with you). Another thing, if you are in one of those families that can never find a flashlight when the power goes out , like we are, always know you can grab one of these out of the closet! Just got one for my work bench—ordering 3 more. Looks great, and silver color goes well with my custom cabinetry. Magnet works really well. Seems to be working very nicely, though not the brightest. Wanted something that would light up my work area, as well as motion activated. USB-C charger which I like. At $25 a pop, that’s $100 for battery powered highly lighted area. And can easily pull from the magnet to bring light closer to something I want to inspect or if I need an emergency flashlight. Has on off switch or set to motion activated. Recommend. ... show more

So, I purchased these lights approximately 7 months ago. When I first got them and charged them up they were AWESOME. Very easy way to light up my closets . Super easy to install and my wife loved them. The batteries lasted a long time. Then I recharged them twice in this 7 months, after my initial charge. Still worked awesome. Now on the third time recharging them, this is where the problem came. One light wouldn’t recharge at all. The other light did, but the light was now super dim, as opposed to how bright it was initially. Then it also totally stopped working. So, while I like the form factor and brightness, the longevity of these lights is terrible. I would hope to get more then 7 months of use out these. So instead of the five star, I’m only giving them one. Going to have to look for a better product now. 3/6/24 Update: The company reached out to me based on my I ital poor review and offered my money back or a replacement. I took the replacement with the hopes that I just had a bad batch since I liked these so much. They reach out fairly quickly upon posting my review and sent me new light fairly quickly. Hopefully these work better then the originals. I’m upping g my review based on customer service of this company. ... show more

This light works perfectly for our furnace utility closet. I used the sticky tape to put the magnetic base on the wall near the door moulding. I let it sit without the light for 5 minutes just to be sure the adhesive was secure. Then placed the light on the base. It's slimline design allows placing it anywhere, brightness is great and I love that I can turn the light a little on the base to adjust where the it shines. The motion activated setting let's the light goes on when the utility door is opened. I'm very happy with the quality and brightness. I'm sure the battery will last quite a while since we don't open that door very often. Glad I purchased the product. ... show more

Updates: After submitting my original review, I found an email address in the manual booklet, [email protected]. Emailed them about the bad units, a lady Kathy replied and saying the product is still under 12mo warranty. She then sent me another replacement (arrived in less than a week). This time it works. I charged the unit multiple times, with a 5v 2a charger + original usb-c cable. Just to note that I emailed her my Amazon order number and mailing address. Kathy was very helpful and followed up with me every step of the way. I've updated my rating to 3 stars (from 1 star). No higher rating because the support phone number on Amazon file is bad. Will I buy from BLS again? the answer is yes. T402 is a good product and is multi-purpose. I frequently use it as a flashlight in my crawl space, as a bed light, garage light, etc. Then put it back to the stairwell with a quick snap. ~~~~~~~~ original review: this could be a great LED closet light if it works after charging it; but it doesn't work for both the original unit and replacement. Here's the story: I purchased two of these closet lights two years ago (2021). Slightly different design, which had a micro-usb charging port. It works great and we are still using it for the stairwell. The light is bright, lasts a long time, the family loves it. Want to take advantage of the primeday special, so bought the T402 recently (2023). It was a bit strange when it arrived, because the light was rather dim; so I charge the new unit with a usb-c cable. This new design also has two different auto modes. When it finished charging (the red light turned to green), it will not turn on anymore, and none of the modes work. Thinking I might have gotten a bad unit, so I checked the reviews and comments here. I tried all the suggestions: charge with the original cable, use an older regular USB charger (without fast charging), use the USB port on my laptop, charger with lower amp (1a), higher amp (2a), tried calling the listed phone support number (but disconnected), shaking it, kicked it, screamed at it. Got a replacement from Amazon few days later; it lit up bright at first. Then I kept it to stay on 100% for 36hrs straight. The led light started to dim, and I proceed with the charging with the regular USB charger + original cable. Few hours later, the charging light changed from red to green. Tried to turn it on but the replacement unit is dead. Since I have had the older version for two years. I come to expect this led light is supposed to be dumb simple, easy to use, and lit up bright. Today, I have finally given up and here's my recommendation. Stay away, don't buy this. ( I changed my mind , please see my updates above) ... show more
