    • Abused and still shining bright!
These solar string lights have been battered in the backyard since our lawn person accidentally knocked them down and then I accidentally stepped on two. I was going to toss them but to my amazement the surviving lights shone on. This is after a year of record heat and some brutal storms. So today I searched my purchases to see if I could buy replacement bulbs. I couldn’t believe I bought these nearly two years ago, in fall 2022! Unlike other solar lights I’ve hung in the same place, these have not dimmed. And the protective casing on the connecting cord is still perfect after a great deal of rain in that time. So I’m going to replace two bulbs and stick with these great lights. The color is beautiful too, very cozy at night. Highly recommend. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Love these lights! They worked right out of the box. Have options for flashing. Good brightness - and look like good quality, the bulbs are substantial and pretty sturdy, not thin. They can also be charged with a certain USB cable (but I don't have the right one). Placed the solar panel charger in the dirt in deck planter and secured the bulbs with zip ties onto my railing. Will circle back in a week or so to let you know how they're doing. UPDATE: 6/23/20 lights still going strong. Been charging with limited sun on my deck just in the morning hours (shade in afternoon) and they last about six hours. (As advertised charge lasts 6-8 hours) They don't dim, they will just turn off. When it gets dark enough at night they will turn on. So happy with them, very cheery and bright. Oh, comes with one spare bulb. UPDATE 7/16/20 Still going strong after Fay windstorm with lots of rain- added video to review. Moved solar panel to railing to get more sun and longer charge.     • Be careful hanging them
I have a string of these lights on my deck. They look very nice. When I hung them I dropped the string an a few bulbs broke. I replaced them but couldn’t get them to light again mainly because the on/ off switch is tricky. You can’t tell if the switch is on or off.     • Good product, good price, great battery life.
Solid product for the price. They arent as bright as plug in models I've had before but they do provide just enough light and a perfect amount of "mood" lighting. The light "temperature" (not referring to hot/cold) is great, it is a nice warm color, as in kind of yellow, not bright white or blue-ish which you would not want for this application. The battery life seems great as mine literally come on at dark and are on until the sun comes up 10 hours later. The controls on the back of the solar unit are a little clunky in that you cant tell whether you have the button clicked on or off, so you have to wait until dark to figure that out. Then assuming you will just always leave them on, you're good to go. If you plan to turn them on and off then having the controls on the back if the solar unit are inconvenient as you'll most likely mount it high up somewhere on a roof, roofline, top of pergola, etc. All in all a good product for the price. ... show more

    • Not dependable , hit or miss , won’t recommend
May or may not work right out of the box. Also who know how long it will last. I got 2 of these (returned both) after one just wouldn’t keep glowing a couple of hours after sunset. These are not inexpensive and I expect it to work and not have to second guess my decision. Best common sense alternative (for me) that I replaced these with is simple pluggable string lights (4 in a daisy chain / series) controlled by alexa/Google enabled socket. The whole setup at almost the same cost as these hit or miss solar ones. Regarding the 1 star - in my mind this is binary thing. Either it works as advertised (5 *) or it doesn’t (0-1 *) ... show more

    • Look good but burning out quickly
Had 2 sets for more than a year with minor issues with bulbs failing. Bought 4 more sets and this time bulbs are failing after 2 months The light is nice and they come on at dusk and last post midnight or more
