I replaced my plastic black Le Creuset knob (because of the low temperature limit) and I replaced it with the metal one. I like that the metal can withstand high temperature. I replaced it very easily and it fits well.

This knob is very pretty. It’s made identical to the original using light weight stainless steel, so it doesn’t alter or improve the function of the oven. It is just as heat resistant as the original and has withstood a 450-degree oven temperature for more that an hour. This is identical to the original except that it’s anodized with color which should hold up to time and use. Installation is straightforward- unscrew the original and screw this knob on (the knob does come with a new screw). This is made in China, just like the original (just the cast iron portion of the oven is made in France). This should last as long the original would. ... show more

I was pleased with the gold of the large knob so decided to order a medium. However the medium gold is darker. Both are pretty, but I would have liked them to be the same color. The Le Creuset website has a “gold” and “dark gold” knobs. That should be stated here if you have both colors instead of just “gold”. ... show more
