Upon opening the box I discovered a beautiful build quality with some weight to the tea kettle. This product is definitely not like the cheap tea kettles from the 70's like my parents once had. I followed the instructions to boil the first pot of water and discard, let cool and then boil a fresh pot of water for drinking. This little pot looks and functions wonderfully on my new gas stove with stainless finishes. Water heats in about four minutes and good for someone looking for one to three cups to use at a time. Handle gets warm but I can use it without a pot holder, lid seals nicely, flip lid works great and I don't think it will break over time. Because of the good build quality and the fact that it is stainless steel I predict many years of use from this kettle. I am happy that I could save for and purchase this pot instead of purchasing multiple cheap pots before discovering this one. Great purchase, fast shipping, would buy this brand again! ... show more

We previously owned a Le Creuset tea kettle for over 15 years and wanted to replace this due to enamel on inside deteriorating after 15 years. We excitedly ordered this orange kettle and upon receipt there was a large area on the side/bottom where the enamel was chipped! We did not see this before we placed the lid on the kettle, and turned it over to check! Then, we could not get the kid off the kettle to place it back in the box to return it to Amazon! So sad that the quality of this product is not what it used to be! We ordered the OXO tea kettle in place of this kettle!! ... show more

I bought this kettle on sale and it almost feels unfair….cuz it’s great. I would have gladly paid more. The best attribute for me is that the color has not changed at all. I am careful to but it on a smaller burner so the flames do not wrap round the bottom on the the side…but so it looks pristine and its been months. ... show more
