Our old tea kettle served us well but it developed some rust around the inside of the spout area. In order to avoid the possibility of consuming rust (at any level) we decided to invest in a new tea kettle. We were not sure about what product to acquire but we felt it needed to be of quality to hold-up to everyday use. We are not heavy tea drinkers but we do enjoy using high quality products when we can afford them. The Le Creuset tea kettle is amazing in every respect. It is enamel through and through and presents a pleasing appearance in our kitchen. The whistle is easily recognizable. Thus far, it serves all of our needs for brewing water for coffee or tea. It worked good for a month and suddenly every time you pour it, the water spurts all over the counter. Don’t waste your money. Our old one we had for 12 years no issues ever at half the cost.

This will be the last tea kettle I purchase. It’s beautiful and was worth the investment. in my life, I have only collected a handful of this brand for my kitchen - each piece is cherished and has made many meals. I am glad I chose the blue - it’s a pretty pop of color in my kitchen!
