The media could not be loaded. I cannot express how much my kids love this set! It kept them busy for hours!! And they brought their friends over to show them their potions when they were done. It is awesome!!! It comes with so much -- 24 potion bottles that are different sizes and shapes, different sized corks and necklace stoppers, several colors of glitter (some with stars and snowflakes), tiny shells and beads, small flowers and leaves, butterflies, small unicorn horns, and more! The little book that comes with it is really cute. It addresses the child as a wizard, and the recipes for different potions (brave potion, friendship potion, adventure potion, etc.) have cute names for the ingredients (mermaid tears for the blue food coloring, golden sunshine for the yellow, plant extract for the green, etc.). It comes with small mixing bowls, and the stirrers are iridescent unicorn horns - so cute! First you select a bottle, then you add on glitter, beads, shells, etc. Next you add water and a couple drops of food coloring. And finally, you sprinkle in some of the magic freezing powder and put the cork on. Then you shake it, and the potion magically "freezes" and it's not liquidy anymore. It's sort of like a gel that stays in place. They come out looking really cool! And you can make so many different ones. You do have to supervise and make sure kids don't get the magic freezing powder in their eyes or mouth. They should wash their hands when done playing. And once made, the potions have to stay shut so it doesn't get everywhere, but they seal well. You can write labels for your potions and put them on the little shelf that comes in the set or string them and wear them as a necklace. This is so much fun!! It was literally hours of entertainment, and my kids loved it so much, I bought a second set!!

My kids loved putting together potions. I was doing this with them then had to go and the kids were able to do it without my help at all.

This LDomet Freezing Magic Potions Kit has some issues but my grandkids had fun with it and want to do more experimenting using their imaginations rather than following the directions. Now for the issues: It is not a “freezing” kit. The solution solidifies when water is added to it, but it does not get cold. The kit includes a nice looking instruction manual, however, the font is small, cursive, and mostly white on a colored background making it difficult to read, especially the page which lists all the parts of the kit. The parts of the kit are not labeled. You have to rely on being able to match them up according to the list in the instruction book. ‘Mermaid Tears’ look purple in the book but they are actually a blue color. The instructions say to use ‘one scoop’ but there is no scoop included in the kit. The illustrations make it look like a measuring spoon so we used a ¼ teaspoon and tried not to fill it full. It was still too much for some of the potions, especially the 'Frozen Fairy Dust'. Less is better with that dust! There is so much glitter in the Traveler Potion that you can’t see the flower inside. It would be better if they included a scoop in the kit or gave a more specific idea of how much a scoop should be. If I hadn’t been watching, the grandkids would have poured half a bottle of the glitter into a potion bottle. Most of the potion bottles are small while many of the suggested items for putting in the potion bottles are too big. I had to cut down the ‘Magic Grass’ to get one flower to fit in the bottle and didn’t bother putting the ‘Leaf of Life’ into the bottle. Many of the ‘Luminous Stones’ are too large to go into the bottles. Luckily most have holes through them and will be added to our jewelry making supplies. There are extra items which are too large to put into the potion bottles. The instructions don’t say what to do with the items, but they could be attached to the potion bottles. One of the charms was broken. All in all, if you get the LDomet Freezing Magic Potions Kit let the kids use their imaginations and use some of the items with other crafts.
