This is a very nice unit other than the fact that after you plug it into the first vehicle, any other vehicle information has to be downloaded off the Internet and there are sometimes fees associated with this so be careful research this tool very carefully before you buy it to make sure it is personal and has the data you’re looking for already built in Other than that this unit fixed about a $5000 problem on my truck and I was able to repair it for less than $1000

Got 919x 2 weeks ago.It competes directly with XTO0L D7. This tool featuresbidirectional control consisting of resets, actuation tests and special functions. You canview all live data PIDS from all modules in the vehicle in either text form, or graph form.This tool with also record selected live data PIDS and it will allow for playback at up to 4Xspeed. lt is also compatible with the newer protocols of CAN FD and DolP. The toolphysically reminds me of the many Snap-on scanners because of its red body with blacktrim around the edges and especially its physical buttons. lt's VERY Snap on ish... Themechanical buttons are really nice for when your fingers are covered in grease and thescreen won't respond to their touch. lt also has an "automatically connect" feature thatcan be toggles on/off in the setting menu. This features makes the tool automaticallyauto-vin the vehicle and intimately start a full system scan when the data cable isconnected to a vehicle. All this happens by simply plugging in the data cable to the DLCport in the vehicle. This is the only tablet style of scan tool that l have reviewed on myYouTube channel to have physical buttons, and the "auto connect option. Those are twofeatures that no other scanners have.... at least that l know of anyway.

Previous to purchasing this device I purchased an Autel device very similar in function. I returned the other device because it was using Android system 4.4, which is far outdated. It worked okay but it was very slow and took forever to load all the updates. So after reading a lot of use, not just customer reviews, for what I needed and what I was willing to spend I bought this unit directly from Amazon. After waiting four days to get it and upon opening the box, I was pretty impressed at how it looked, and even the case was very well made with plenty of storage room for notes, books, other cables, tools, and whatever else. Upon setting the tool up, this is where the nightmare started. The actual operator's manual is very well written, but the Quickstart or start-up manual is not! The setup is relatively easy until you go to do the updates. Once you connect to your relatively easy Wi-Fi and you start doing the updates, and there were over 100, after the first two or three updates on Wi-Fi, the updating stops. At this point, I tried rebooting the unit and I even reset it to factory default probably 20 times. I contacted not only Amazon customer support, but the seller, and the manufacturer support. They asked a bunch of questions but no one had an answer, a definitive answer, on how to get this thing to complete the updates! NO ONE! I sent detailed information as well as pictures of what I was seeing. They wanted me to even take a video to show them! But NO ONE had an answer, not even a suggestion on how to fix this! So after 48 hours, I decided to go to my vehicle and plug up the scanner just to see what it was going to do. Now, this is the second time I had done this. The first time it did nothing but tell me that it needed to be updated and began to give me a message reporting that it was "refreshing" which lasted for more than 30 minutes before I unplugged it. It just so happens that while in front of my residence and still within range of my Wi-Fi, this time it began to start updating. It took nearly an hour for it to download and install 103 updates. But it was successful - this time. What is disappointing is that there is nothing in either manual that specifically states, unequivocally states, that the tool needs to be plugged into the vehicle, while connected to Wi-Fi, before it will download and install ALL the updates the first time! If I had bought this tool and decided to use it away from home and/or could not use my phone as a hotspot for Wi-Fi, it would never update! It would've saved more than 40 hours of troubleshooting and frustration had they just added a simple line to their manual, that states in plain simple language; "tool must be connected to the OBD port in a vehicle while it is connected to Wi-Fi before it will update the first time"! I reported in every message and correspondence I had with Amazon, the seller, and the manufacturer, that it would download only the first two or three updates, and they still had no solution! For all the trouble I went through I was one minute putting it back in the box and sending it back! What is amazing is that the seller, Amazon, nor the manufacturer, knew this was a problem and did not suggest this is what needed to be done! Who would even set up an OBD scanner that needed to be updated while it had to be connected to a vehicle's OBD port? I have had many scanners over the years that were updatable and none of them ever had to be plugged into the vehicle to update, as most were done via computer from the Internet! Now that it works I am extremely happy with it, but this problem is why I am rating it so low. I'm not even sure if this isn't an actual defect and NOT the way it's supposed to work! So for now I am going to keep it and continue to work with it, but I will NOT update my rating because it should not have been that hard and no manufacturer or seller should have to put any customer through this considering the cost of this device, without having a concrete answer for such an issue! They even wanted me to try a different network when the network was not the problem!
