I picked up this car diagnostic device because we have a couple of Audis in the family that we are slowly restoring. Lately they have been in and out of the shop for what seems like very minor stuff. It was very expensive and stressful. Honestly, I was a little nervous at first with a purchase like this since I am not a mechanic but the information I found was very encouraging so I thought I would give it a try. I am really glad I did. It’s very easy to use. I am impressed. It powers up quickly, the screen is clear, and the menu makes sense once you click around a little. What I like most is how it works for different brands, especially BMW and Mercedes, since those can be pricey to diagnose. We used it on my brother’s BMW and it pulled up the codes right away, told us what needed attention, and even let us clear some lights after the fixes were made. It saves so much time and guesswork. My brother was very impressed by it and it helped save him a lot of money. It’s also great for regular family cars because it can check emissions and basic issues on just about any car since the late 1990s. My teenager’s first car is a little older, and this tool helped us figure out why the check engine light kept coming on. Turned out to be something small, but it gave us peace of mind. Another bonus is the updates. It doesn’t require expensive subscriptions, and you can keep it current with just Wi-Fi. That’s a relief. We have confidence it won’t out date any time soon. Inaccurate results. The scanner showed a dozen of issues for my 202O Mercedes Sprinter V6 diesel van. For these “issues” , I spent $200 to check my van in the dealer store. As a result, none of the Launch reported issues are confirmed by the Mercedes dealer’s scanner. Without purchasing this scanner I would have saved $200 checkup fees! It did not process BMS reseting for my model either!

This is a really good scanner if you specialize in german cars. I have been using it for about a month and compared to others it's quick and gives you the results you're looking for right away. Excellent product. Instantly communicated with my 10 year old bmw and accurately read all data. It’s not difficult to read the health report. I’m no mechanic and have no idea what some of these options can do. There are options to change and modify things I myself don’t understand. I just need it to read any check engine light or tire pressure sensor which it does. More settings than I need but worth having if I ever need to modify settings in the future.
