it was not compatible with GM or some Euro makes. On vehicles that it was it could not read all codes even with being updated. I returned this item and will search for another.

So I am a DIY guy at home and for my YouTube Channel (Brailsford's Rides). I bought this tool to help me diagnose issues on my 2012 Boss 302 Mustang, 2017 Ford Explorer, and 2003 Toyota Sequoia. Right out of the box the the size is perfect about the size of a smartphone, and the screen response and feel is quick as you'd expect from a high end reader. Depending on what you are troubleshooting you can download via WiFi or hotspot whatever model car you are trying to check. The Autoscan feature is cool as it is Vin specific and will search for codes pertaining to the car you enter. I also like the real time data options displayed in the OBDII reading. I also reached out to the company with feedback that they are providing to the engineers for future updates which I look forward to. One thing that I like is that I previously used a different budget based tool from Autec, but the C Reader found codes that were not even displaying on the Dash of my Toyota sequoia. I was able to cancel them and luckily they haven't returned. I do recommend this purchase.

I am Software Architect working in a financial firm. I was often frustrated with the diagnosis tools available to take care of my babies - 2000 Lexus ES300 and 2004 Toyota Sienna. I was looking for something more professional grade but not super expensive. After researching, I settled on the Launch Creader Elite 200. Wow! Was I pleasantly surprised and impressed with the rich features it offers. The product is Wifi capable and was able to download and update to the latest version of the firmware (Android based). It comes with a USB cable to to transfer your files and reports. It also supports a micro SD slot for additional storage. How cool is that! It doesn't need a battery and powers on by your OBD2 port or your USB cable when connected to PC. It does the VIN identification feature built in (works for newer vehicles) but has the rich set diagnosis abilities specific to your make/model. Mine was Toyota and Lexus. It recognized a fault code(C0215) for which the Check Engine light wasn't even lit on mine. It is a Speed sensor issue on mine. Was able to clear the code and will observe more. If it comes back again, I will address it. My favorite feature of the tool is the Live Data stream and be able to record/store them as reports with graphs. When you're testing, a very useful feature is to check before and after replacing/fixing a part. You want to know whether it made a difference. Do a certain action while recording and see the effect ... all live stream data! You can save and export those recordings for analysis. I would highly recommend this for all DIY car owners and professional garages. This will pay for itself in no time.

I’m biased on this tool , being a automotive technician. I needed just a basic code reader but decided to try this one due to the fact as it does antilock brakes and air bag dtc s . The tool is nice about the size of a smart phone It does need to be set up to Wi-Fi to down load all the manufacturers including obd 2 code scan , I thought that was a bummer seeing as it is not useable out of the box . You must have internet to set it up . The auto scan is cool but it does not include ecu or pcm codes in the auto scan or obd2 , you must exit auto scan to get to the obd2 menu also a bummer The machine is on the slow side . This is my 5th launch code reader For the value it’s ok Launch has a super cheap code reader that is faster Would I buy this again ? Probably not But for the at home code reader it’s pretty good

I purchases several OBD readers and this is the only one so far that works GREAT with the latest Mercedes Sprinter. I had to reset the Airbag system after unhooking the seats. This tool does it very easily.
