This splitter likely works as it does in the videos, but you DO NOT want to use this with your home drill. It will rip your wrists, fingers and hands apart if you do not use this product with a handle drill. Even with the handle drill, once the bit gets stuck in the wood, it can catch, and if you do not have a grip on the drill, it will cause bodily injury and harm to use. Also, do not handle the bit without gloves, as it is extremely sharp (making it a very effective tool if used appropriately) Please be careful with this product. With all of that said, I will say that the quality of this product is great. It is very well made, although the packaging and the storage container were very tight and not the best quality. You would be better off investing your money in a good electric splitter if you are looking for easy splitting which this could potentially provide for you, if you take the necessary safety steps. ... show more

I needed a toll to split some of the cord wood I bought. Some pieces were just a bit too big. So I used this to pare down some of those pieces. Works good but don't get too carried away. They say that you can use it on just about any drill, not true, if it ain’t a heavy duty industrial drill it won’t work. I drill it in about one inch before it got stuck in the wood, small log mind you, and ended up nearly burning out my drill, so I pulled out my heavy duty, it is made for anything, no reverse drill. Didn’t work, the video you see is with real dry wood and already split in some spots, and my titanium bit has rust on it already, product is garbage. ... show more
