I ordered this just to get into laser engraving and didnt know what to expect. This was easy to assemble and start using with light burn. so far its done everything i need but as i get more i to it i will eventually want a stronger laser. This is a great laser for starters and simple to use if youve never touched one before. Id recommend watching youtube videos which will make it even easier!

The engraver is a nice size with the ability to engrave on items much larger than the device itself. Lightburn software (sold separately, $60) is a must! It is a little confusing to set up, but there are plenty of resources to help. You do need to make sure you always use the same starting point. I added foam blocks on the front left corner to give an absolute "origin" and have been very accurate with my engravings. I engrave on hand crosses, (picture included) and have been able to accurately line up small print. One tip, tape a piece of paper to your waste board and engrave an outline of your material at low power. You can then lay your material on top of the outline and hit it exactly.

I was able to complete a few neat projects. This is my first laser engraving machine and overall I think it was pretty easy to learn. Iβve had the machine for a little over 6 months and need to replace the focal lens but have not had any luck finding what I need. So my only complaint is I just wish there was an easier way to get replacement parts. I would give five stars if there was a spec sheet for replacement parts especially the focal lens.

I'm actually quite impressed with this little jewel. Took a little effort to put it together out of the box but worth the time. Have used it to engrave several things so far and have been very happy with all of the results. I will say, however, the description is a little misleading with regards to engraving. The term "engraving" isn't really true. It is a laser, and instead burns the pattern or cut into the material. Plus, it WILL NOT engrave into metal directly, the laser just isn't powerful enough for that. But, it will etch nicely on metal that is painted or anodized. So, just keep that in mind when considering a purchase. The "engraving" actually takes place on the coating, not in the metal itself. All that said, nice product, highly recommended for the average home user.

With a little trial and error and practice you can easily dial in the settings to make some nice engravings and cut designs in wood. Setup took about an hour and the equipment is well built. For starting out in the world of laser cutting and engraving this is a great choice.

The Atomstack laser engraver has been a fun little machine. We got it for Christmas and I have used it for about a month. I have used it to engrave on wood, aluminum, copper sheet. I have also cut some wood with the laser, it takes some practice and tweaking of settings. You will need to assemble the machine but assembly was easy with a helper. Follow the directions and take your time. A couple things to be aware of is that it will need a computer connected the entire time you are using it. Also if you are using a Mac you will need to purchase the software LightBurn to use the laser. The Software is amazing and well worth the money. LightBurn makes using the laser very easy and fun. I would highly suggest downloading the manual for the cut and engrave settings. It is very helpful when it comes to setting up your project.
