Okay so I've had the xTool M2 for about two weeks now and I gotta say, this thing has been a blast. Sharing my honest first impressions in case you're on the fence like I was. Ease of use: Genuinely so easy to get going. I was worried it'd take forever to figure out, but nope — unboxed it, followed the setup, and was making stuff same day. The dual cameras are honestly kind of magic — you get a live view of your whole workspace so lining up your print and your cut is basically automatic instead of me eyeballing it and hoping for the best. Auto-focus and material detection also mean I'm not sitting there fiddling with settings for 20 minutes before I can start. xTool Studio has been a huge win: Can't say enough good things about the software honestly. It's super intuitive, and it's turned into this fun creative sandbox for me — I'll pop in, mess around with the template library and the AI design tools, and suddenly I've got five new project ideas I want to try. It makes the "what should I make next" part almost as fun as actually running the machine, which I wasn't expecting. Value for money: For a machine that prints full color AND cuts/engraves, I feel like I got a steal. I would've needed two separate machines to do this otherwise, and probably way more desk space. Love that the modules are swappable too so I'm not stuck paying for stuff I don't need yet. Durability: Only two weeks in so take this with a grain of salt, but so far it feels really solid — nothing flimsy about the build, and it's been running smooth with zero hiccups. Will update if anything changes, but early signs are great. Versatility: Already tried it on wood, leather, and cardstock and it handled the switch between them without any fuss. Being able to print a full-color design and then cut it out in the same session is such a game changer — feels like a mini production line on my desk. Impressive Power in a Home Craft Tool

I have been an avid crafter for many years and am always looking for the next tool to create personalized and unique gifts for my loved ones. The XTool M2 20w color craft laser engraver is the first laser cutter I have experience with. I am not only impressed with what this machine can do, but the XTool studio is incredibly intuitive and easy to navigate. I have had this machine a few weeks and have already experimented with various materials such as wood, cast acrylic, vinyl sticker paper, and powder coated tumblers. I am excited to experiment with more materials. The size of the machine is perfect for home crafters as it fits perfectly on my basic table top desk. I got the bundle that came with the RA3 lite rotary tool and the desktop air purifier and so far this as been a great value with what crafts I have already been able to produce.

I absolutely love my xTool M2! It was incredibly easy to set up and start using, even without a lot of laser experience. The machine is well-built, powerful, and the results have been amazing. xTool Studio is also fantastic. It makes designing and setting up projects simple and intuitive, and everything works really well together. I was creating projects in no time. The M2 has made laser engraving and cutting fun, easy, and honestly a little addictive! I’m always looking for the next thing to create. Definitely one of my favorite purchases. Highly recommended! Do NOT waste your time or money…faulty equipment!

We opened it today, got it set up, print and cut 1 sheet of stickers, attempted to print and cut a 2nd sheet until it was 3/4 done printing and the machine turned off…after wasting more of our time trouble shooting, we discovered the adapter switch that came with the product was faulty. Such a disappointment! The fact that we have to sit here and wait 48 hours for response back regarding a piece of equipment that we paid about $1400 for and had for leas than 2 hours is ridiculous! SAVE YOUR MONEY, xTool M2 is NOT worth it! Our daughter is really upset, as she was planning to print out he own stickers and decor for her birthday which now cannot be done My husband is not excited to be going out tomorrow trying to find some decorations and stickers to replace the ones we were not able to print using the xTool M2 color laser! At this point we just want our money back and advise that you save yours and do jot invest in the xTool M2 color laser!

Very capable machine

Very happy with the M2. Surprising amount of detail capability, even with the 20W. Stage accuracy has been very good. Only issues I've had so far have been mine, not dialing in the laser parameters well enough before diving in and trying to burn/engrave/cut. I believe this will be a work horse. I haven't tried the print head yet. I want to stack up some work for that to do first, so I don't have an open ink cartridge laying around. So I might update once I have a chance to try the color printing. Very good so far. And good value for the money compared to the larger xTool systems. I have the 3W IR on order, awaiting a delivery time for that.

The M2 is a good machine and overall it is fairly easy to use. However, I feel that it could still be a little more user friendly, especially for someone who is still learning. In my experience, I would benefit from more detailed guidance or tutorials that explain the different functions step by step. I would also really appreciate having more instructions and tutorials available in Spanish. I think this would make the machine much easier to learn and help Spanish-speaking customers get the most out of it. Overall, I like the machine, but I am still learning how to use all of its features.

This is a great product for beginners. I have had no experience with engraving and the M2 makes it easy. Works great and is compact easy to use right out of the box. They also have an academy for learning how to use this machine. Once again it is a great product.
