  • Worth every penny! Keeps my chickens secure and comfortable!
Size: 234.0"L x 118.0"W x 78.0"H
UPDATE! 8 months later…. STILL LOVING THE COOP! I secured it by zip tying the four corners to metal fence posts that are pounded into the ground for more security in the wind. Wrapped the coop with heavy duty contractors plastic tarps for the winter - used zip ties to secure and left room for ventilation. Also added 3 - 2x4s to the center of the coop. Notched an end to allow it to slide up around the top center pole that supports the peak of the rook. One 2x4 placed center of the metal support posts that came with the coop. Reason- fear of heavy snow and ice. Between that, and my knocking down any snow/ice that did accumulate during heavy snow storms (easy from the inside - and I’m short!), I had no problems with the coop at all. We did have some unexpectedly heavy snowfalls, and many episodes of high winds. The coop, and my birds, weathered it all just fine! Don't buy this for the solar light - it was worthless right out of the box. BUT... buy the coop for every other reason! It was easy to put together and is very durable. My approximately (they don't stand still for counting!) 40 chickens love it because there is so much room. I've placed four nesting boxes (soon to be eight, 4 stacked above 4), a small brood pen, four good sized roosts, and their feed & water inside with plenty of room for them to move around at ease. The roof tarp is excellent - stays in place even in high winds and keeps my birds dry. No predators have been able to access my birds through the coop which was initially a big concern because it doesn't look like much. It surprised me by being so incredibly strong and secure. A very happy surprise! ... show more

  • Decent Temporary Chicken Run, But Not Predator-Proof Decent Temporary Chicken Run, But Not Predator-Proof
Size: 156.0"L x 118.0"W x 78.0"H
First off, the instructions included no written directions—only numbers corresponding to the parts. Unfortunately, many of the parts weren’t labeled, so identifying them was a challenge. That said, with some patience and process of elimination, I was able to build the frame in about an hour. Some of the metal pipes were bent out of shape and needed to be manually adjusted to fit properly. Assembly also required a second person, especially for installing the top section and securing the wire. I would recommend only using this run if you have a level ground. The included wire fencing is a wide-mesh hardware cloth. It’s rigid, but the openings are large enough that a snake—or other small predator—could get through. If you’re looking for a predator-proof chicken run, I’d suggest using a different wire with smaller holes. Also, the fencing isn’t precut, so you’ll need to measure and cut it yourself. Be careful—there's just enough included, so every inch counts. The zip ties provided are low quality and likely won’t hold up long-term. I recommend replacing them with sturdier ones. On the positive side, the tarp cover was easy to install and secure with the included ties. The motion-sensor light is a nice idea, but it doesn’t run directly off the solar panel—it needs to be charged via an outlet first, which wasn’t clear in the product description. I do like the door—it swings both ways and operates smoothly. However, I’m confused by the description that mentions "two rooms," as there’s no internal divider or separation in the structure. Overall, this chicken run works as a temporary or emergency setup, but I wouldn’t rely on it long-term—especially if you’re in an area with serious predators. For something more secure and durable, consider building your own with wood and finer mesh fencing. ... show more

  • Easy to set up but not good quality for a permanent solution.
Size: 156.0"L x 118.0"W x 78.0"H
If I would have known that this was more of a temporary solution I wouldn’t have bought it. I got this thinking it was going to work to keep my animals safe. I could have just used the money to make my own with better materials. The hardware cloth will not hold back predators and it’s not sturdy at all. So now I’m going to end up spending more for something that will work how I need to. Exactly unhappy. ... show more

  • Not predator proof, but nice! Not predator proof, but nice!
Size: 156.0"L x 118.0"W x 78.0"H
The frame is not bad, decent size. This is great to keep chickens in, will not keep predators out! The “ hardware cloth” is easily cut with scissors.l & flimsy. The tarp is nice but not heavy duty. I ordered the two unit & tarp did not cover the entire roof. I have a message into seller & will update this review based on how that’s resolved. With all that said, with some extra work & expense, this could be predator proofed. * update re the tarp issue- the seller has rectified the issue by providing a discount so that I can purchase a replacement locally. Very prompt customer service was provided. ... show more

  • Built to stay in place. Weak materials but quick & easy setup
I like this cage. Or pen, or containment. Not sure what you’d want to call it. Assembling the frame is easy enough & the longest portion is zip-tying all of the green chicken wire to use as walls. It doesn’t come with any roost or good/waterer, so you’ll need to get that going on your own. It DOES come with a basic tarp to keep your chickens out of a heavy downpour or out of the hot sunshine. I used mine exclusively for their home for a few weeks, but now I’m using it to house the food/water & a white eletric netting as their perimeter. It’s a great QUICK start chicken pen. You can move it around with a couple of people for fresh grass grazing. If you can get it at a good price - i recommend it. ... show more

  • Great product Great product
Size: 234.0"L x 118.0"W x 78.0"H
While I probably went a little overboard on the assembly, I feel like the few "tweaks" I made to this chicken run, made all the difference in my happiness with this product! 1st, I started wrapping the hardware cloth from the door all the way around in 1 piece, this cut down on seams that needed to be addressed, and added security. Also It made it easier to roll the last of the hardware cloth across the top to secure that as well. 2nd, I used every bit of wire including the wire that was wrapped around the hardware cloth for shipping, for sewing up the seams and around the bottom of the run. Yes I had to buy a bit more wire to finish around the bottom, but it's worth it to know how secure it is. Last I am surrounding it with bricks and put twist tie downs to secure it to the ground. Highly recommend this chicken run, as I worked out quite well and was worth the money! Picture was temp setup of the run. Attached the coop to the side, not pictured. ... show more
