It will do if you are in a pinch. Not very sturdy. Half of the pieces were not “prepped” properly. Missing holes for the dowel pins and the actual frame did not match up properly leaving a sizable gap in the roof area. Thankfully the tarp covers it and we can still use it till I can get a replacement. Also the wood pieces for the nesting box were not all cut to the correct size. The doors are hard to open. It’s not very heavy though and can be moved with only 2 people. I do not think it was worth $500. Lesson learned. ... show more

We’ve had rain and strong sun since setting this up, and the coop has held up well. The asphalt roof feels durable, and the covered run gives the chickens shade and airflow.

The two-level nesting box design is really convenient. Egg collection is quick, and the hens seem to like the separated spaces. It keeps things organised and much cleaner than our old coop.
