  • Excellent Battery life, good software, and better accuracy than most
Set name: 54
It solved my mystery of "who keeps stealing my stuff", couldn't ask for more. Blew my mind on who and where they were. Thank you for such an excellent product that delivers on less than the cost of a pizza Battery life is above and beyond my expectations, as long as it's not moving it pretty much lasts forever. 100% after a week, then it started moving and my tools came up missing. Even while very active battery life dropped only 10% in a week More accurate than other models ive used, software is excellent on ios. Geofencing was one click easy, instafence em' Punches above it's class on every metric. Ordered a few more ... show more

  • The perfect tracker !
Set name: 54
Better for my family , cheaper than another product I purchased and didn’t need all of the extra features such as calling so this fit the bill in more ways than one , it does its job of tracking what I need to be tracked discreetly and the different their price plans for how fast or slow you want your information to come through is genius! I would recommend 100% it had no issue connecting , the app work well and are easy to use , ps you get to choose an object like a car , boat or bus plus more to see on the map that you are tracking . I thought that was a cool feature . Very professional product. No complaints as of yet ! ... show more

  • So Far, So Good ...
Set name: 54
After charging the tracker for the recommended time, it took awhile to figure out the technique to turn it on. After 15 to 20 minutes of walking with it outside, it paired to the app. So far, the tracker displays the info needed, and the app is reasonably easy to use. I set it to a 3 minute update via paid plan. The paid plans are more expensive than what is shown in the Amazon posting, so that info should be updated. Also I wish the app map updated its view in a continuous fashion, rather than requiring a refresh by the user. The quality and precision of location is much better than the "passive" tracker (non-GPS with no plan needed) I purchased and had to return. So far, I like this tracker, despite the high plan cost. ... show more

  • I Like It!:)
Set name: Overdrive
I was real hesitant to buy this because their were reviews saying the batter died fast but I have not had that issue at all. i would also say its accurate and sometimes its off by 5-10 feet but its a car so i know where it is at. I am very happy with the purchase.

  • Decent functionality, but deficiencies with the design and app (see details)
Set name: 54
I have mixed feeling about the LandAirSea 54 GPS Tracker. On the one hand, the $30 price is clearly a loss leader. For the price, the device is pretty good. It's equipped with a strong enough magnet to secure to most steel vehicles. The battery life (with 3 minute updates) is good for 5 or 6 weeks. It's a simple device, but it does seem to have ok build quality (mine is located IN the vehicle, so YMMV). Setup is pretty straightforward. Download the app, create an account, scan the device's QR code, and select a monitoring plan. As far as the plans go, I got the 3 minute update plan at $179/year, prepaid. It's the cheapest per month option, but not the shortest term available. Placement within the vehicle was easy, and it didn't interfere with the number of GPS satellites it could pick up. Ok... so why 3 stars? First of all, the app is kind of awful. It looks like a proof of concept meant to accompany the initial launch of the crowdfunded IoT device, BUT THIS IS SERIOUSLY THEIR APP! The UX is terrible, and the Android app has frequent crashes. The iPhone app is more stable, but it's still awful. At one point the Android app stopped registering the device - on the device list, and on the map. The in-browser tracking still worked (as did the iPhone app), so it was definitely specific to my phone. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app didn't fix it. I emailed support and they had me delete the local app data from the phone. While that worked, it doesn't speak well to the finish quality of the app. My second problem is that the device attempts to register the GPS coordinates, the instantaneous speed, GPS satellites in view, the cell signal strength, and the battery status of the unit. However, if the unit cannot connect to the cell data network, it does NOT cache the data, and instead just discards it. That's horrible. Since a big part of the functionality of this tracker is keeping the historical position/speed data, it should NOT be discarding it. Can't send data for 6 intervals? So what? Just send 7 intervals of data on the next connection. It's not that hard, and it ends up being (more or less) the same amount of data it would have been if it had been able to reach the cell data network the whole time. The main thing is that the tracking works most of the time. The data points show the date, time, and speed of the device. Route playback is ok, but not all that great, with a time resolution of 3 minutes per update. The geofencing is convenient, as it generates a notification when the device moves out of a designated area - you can't set the geometry of that area, though, so it's basically just a fixed radius from the device's location. There isn't anything wrong with this device that a little non-volatile memory (SRAM, for example) and a couple compute science interns couldn't fix. However, considering that the device and app TECHNICALLY work, I wouldn't hold my breath for improvements to be made. It's unfortunate, though, since this could really be a 5-star device with those changes. ... show more

An easy to use device to meet any GPS needs. Can update a location every 30 seconds or less or more, depending on the subscription plan. Very good and accurate data reporting that can be saved or printed. Location links are provided within the reports to see actual locations. Convenient real time data. Well made, has a strong magnet for easy mounting, and includes a usb charger cord. The website and app are straightforward, simple, and easy to navigate. A full charge can easily last 8-10 days (depending on data usage). A reliable company and reliable device. A variety of products are available to meet your requirements. ... show more

  • Best non airtag tracker
Set name: 54
My boss tracks his vehicles with these and I ordered one for my daughters car. The web portal has reporting and the thing lasts longer than the website says it does, I get a month out of a charge. The magnet is strong, mine is stuck to the firewall under the dash and it stays put. I may get another to put in my backpack, I carry my insulin, bee sting kit and wallet in it and if I lose it or its stolen, being able to find it is critical to me. ... show more

  • Works Great, Easy to Setup
Set name: 54
Someone tried to break into my Hyundai the other day so I ordered this asap overnight and activated it today. Have never had any device like this before. It was very simple to activate and set up the app. No hassle whatsoever other than finding a good hiding spot for it in my car. So far it's working great when I tested driving to the grocery store. Right now, it's showing the dot for my car on the map about 10-12 feet from where my car is parked in the lot at my apartment, so it's not 100% exact, but plenty accurate if someone steals the car the police will know where to look. The app is really straightforward and easy to use. I haven't tried logging into their site on my PC yet, but have been using the app on my Android phone. Here's the options in the app: 1) Can quickly set a fence around your car, just tap the Fence button to automatically create a fence when you park and it'll notify you if the car moves out of the area. 2) App lets you share your location with anyone, so if my car breaks down or I'm in an emergency, it'll be useful to quickly send my location to a family member. Was able to send a link through SMS to my sister and it links her to a map with the GPS device name and location shown. 3) You can turn the LED light on or off through the app so it won't give away where you hid it in the car. 4) It has an Energy Saver mode that you can set from the app to change the updates to every: 30 min (10-15 day battery life), 1 hour (15-30 day battery life), 2 hours (1-1.5 months battery life), 4 hours (1.5-2.5 months battery life), 6 hours (2-3 months battery life), 12 hours (3-4 months battery life), or 24 hours (4-6 months battery life) I noticed there's an option in the settings that let's you select "Do not show low battery warning", so I'm assuming it'll notify me if the battery is low so I can remember to re-charge it? EDIT: Yes, it warns you when the battery is low. It will give you this message: "One of your devices has a battery level of 20% or lower. If your device is set to update every 10 seconds or faster, it is now in power conserve mode and will update every 30 seconds." 5) There's a History button in the app that lets you review where the car/device has been. You can select Today or Yesterday from the quick drop-down menu, or select a specific date from the calendar. 6) There's a whole section of instructional videos inside the app and a FAQ section which are both helpful if you need it. However, it was super straightforward to set up so I didn't need to use those. 7) In the settings you can change the map type between a regular google map or satellite view map. If you change the map type, it seems to delete the fence you set. But it only takes half a sec to tap the Fence button again and reset it. Might be a minor annoyance if you have a whole lot of devices and are switching between map types frequently? 8) The time zone seems to have been automatically set to US Central time, so you may need to go into the settings and change it. But, even though I changed the time zone to be correct, it's still showing the alert on my phone with a timestamp in CST when I drive the car out of the fence. EDIT: I contacted customer service and they were able to fix this for me so time zone shows correctly now. However, due to a recent update of their app, it stopped showing fence notifications for me completely unless I had the app open constantly. Turns out it was because I'm unable to upgrade to Android 12 on my phone model, but they were still very helpful and patient and able to find a solution for me. So now it's working again just fine. They had set it up so it would send me an email notification instead, but whatever they did also magically fixed the regular app notifications somehow. So if you have any issues, they seem willing and able to help or a work-around if possible. 9) You can rename each GPS device if you have more than one so you know which one is in which car, etc. 10) You can change the icon type and icon color that shows on the map for each device! There's a lot of icons to choose from like car, pickup, semi-truck, bus, ATV, EMS, fire truck, bulldozer, bicycle, yacht.... you get the idea. 11) They have the text, phone, email and address right in the app to contact support if you need help. Can't comment on the battery life holding up yet since I just got it today, but I just put a reminder on my phone to take it out and re-charge it on weekends when no one's gonna be lurking around the parking lot in broad daylight and other residents are around. EDIT: Batteries lasted for 3 1/2 weeks from the day I first activated my device until battery completely died. I have it on updates every 3 minutes. Maybe it will vary depending on other factors for you, but for me that's how long it took. The magnet on it seems very strong, but to be fair I didn't try mounting on the outside of my car, so I can't comment on if it'll fall off or not. I stuck it to a metal part hidden inside the car. There's a good variety of plans to choose from with updates at differing intervals and discounts if you pre-pay lump sum. It says you can cancel your subscription at any time. I'm not able to pay the lump sum ones, so I went with the cheapest month to month one at $19.95/month for 3 minute updates so I'll know pretty quick if anyone's moving my car. It looks like the shortest update option is every 3 seconds if you need it that frequent. Very happy so far at how quick and easy it was to get setup. Will update this review if anything goes terribly wrong with it, but seems like it'll work for what I needed it for. Have a steering wheel lock and stuff on the way as well to hopefully deter or slow down anyone from trying again, but worst case I'll be able to track it now and tell the police where to look. EDIT: After using this for about a month and half, no earth-shattering problems. The couple of issues I had, customer service was able to resolve for me as mentioned. ... show more
