    • Great Looking Dark-Sky Compliant Lights But They May Not Be Reliable

UPDATE: First, I love how these look and the fact that they're downlights and "dark sky compliant." I have no idea why people feel like they need outside lights as bright as the sun burning all night and creating light pollution in every direction; but I don't subscribe to that philosophy. The reason I give these 2 stars is because one of the 3 I bought crapped out after only 1.5 years. Thankfully, I could still buy another one of the same type and replace it (this was the replacement); but if another one dies, then I'm just going to have to switch lights entirely. Hopefully my remaining lights will continue working. Well, I may have jinxed it because now the 2nd of 3 lights I originally purchased has stopped working completely. So I bought 2 more of them this time in anticipation that I probably bought a bad batch and the 3rd one will fail as well. Very frustrating and I definitely don't recommend these lights as I've had a 66% failure rate in less than a year. ... show more

The lights are very bright. You cannot use a dimmer however. They are aluminum and require a longer light siding mounting block for mounting them to your house. I have bought 5 and appreciate their quality and contemporary design.

Beautiful lights. I purchased the large size. I was hoping they were bigger but I love the look! The frosted shades popped out of two of the 6 that I purchased. I had to use some clear sealant on each corner to secure the shades.
