it just arrived. Very well packaged and took 2 seconds to put together and under 30 seconds to install and adjust. I really like that it tightens on the vent blade, but also the swivel ball adjusts (my phone is big/heavy so I needed to tighten it a bit). It is better quality than I was expecting and the magnet works well through my thin plastic phone case (not too strong or too weak). Just right. I would definitely recommend this phone holder. Price was very good, especially for the quality.

If you have an NC (3rd gen) MX-5 you know that it's difficult to find a good spot to mound a phone with the limited space. I read all the forum posts and never could find a good budget solution. There are a few pricey solutions out there specifically for this vehicle but I just wanted something that didn't take up much space and placed the phone in an easy to view area without costing 100+ dollars or having to 3D print a solution. I took a chance at this vent style mount assuming that the metal hook that attaches the mount would be too short to work in the funky stationary vents this car has. This mount fits great in the space and has a long enough hook. The only caveat really is that while you can get it in-between the vents, the hook part requires you to force it through, as it's just slightly to large to fit without a decent amount of force. That being said, I was able to make it fit without any damage to the vents. Make sure you work out what height you are gonna want it before you commit. I went 1 vent lower than I ended up wanting ultimately on my first attempt. Getting it back out had me thinking I was going to break either the vent or the mount. Neither ended up being damaged but it wasn't quite a fun process. The end result is that I now have exactly the placement for my phone (pixel 10 xl) via magsafe that I wanted. FYI, I also have plenty of clearance to open and close the glove compartment freely.

Very very good car mount. The ONLY issue, and it's really just a minor annoyance, is that in my make and model of car (Chevy Impala) you lose the vent you mount this on and living in the midwest that can be a pain. But, like I say, that's a very minor annoyance. Having this actually functional phone mount (which actually holds the phone really well), which is the first car mount I have found that works has made a huge difference because normally I'm kindof at a loss for where to put my phone, especially if I'm on a long drive and need it for maps and being on the airvent where I can see it without looking down or away is so much safer. plus it makes music a breeze and it's reasonably adjustable as well. Great magsafe mount, very affordable price.

Had this over a year and I use this thing every single day! So nice to just snap my phone onto the magnet and drive. Tilt, twist is easy. Magnet strong enough that phone wont fall over any rough roads but not too strong that its annoying to take the phone off the mount. I got one for my husband as well and he loves it.

Good product, though I wish the magnet was a little stronger. We have 3 in our vehicles. A 2016 Ford Focus ST, a 2018 Chevy Sonic and a 2020 Chevy Colorado. The hook provides enough depth to fit each of the different vents and can be used vertically or horizontally. The magnet is open, like the letter O, and wont interfere with your vent if the phone isn't mounted. It holds my Galaxy S24 Plus with no problems and I'm sure its sturdy enough for almost any phone out there.

I’ve been looking for the perfect phone holder for a long time. Vent clips were breaking my vent blades. Suction cups didn’t work at all. So when I saw this and tried it it was perfect. I've gone through my fair share of MagSafe car mounts that were a huge disappointment—the phone would drop after the slightest bump. This Lamicall mount is in a completely different league. The "[20 Super Magnets]" isn't just marketing hype; the connection is incredibly strong and secure. I've driven over bumpy roads and railroad tracks, and my iPhone hasn't budged an inch. The air vent clip is also well-designed. It has a hook mechanism that grabs onto the vent slat, making it much more stable than the simple friction clips on other mounts. Installation was a breeze, and it's easy to adjust the angle for the perfect view. If you're tired of flimsy mounts and want something you can truly rely on, this is the one to get.
