I'm comparing this chair to all my previous chairs. I tend to buy a new office/game chair every year for $100 or so. An arm falls off, the fake leather peels from the fabric, the stitching comes undone and the chair will slowly lower while you're on the phone. My intent is to buy one chair that will last three years, at $100 per year. I'm 5'10" and 215 lbs. My first thought was the chair was too damn comfy. I sat in my old chair and found that it had increased in hardness dramatically since I bought this new chair. I even went to the loft and sat in the game room chair. That chair is too damn hard. Back to the new chair and I slowly sink into the soft seating and comfort. I don't like my old chairs anymore. I've noticed my lower back is a bit sore. Not sore in general from sitting in my old hard chair but just sore in one location. This chair is improving my posture and my back isn't used to having good posture. You can lean back but you won't stay there without an effort. This chair wants you to sit up straight while working. You can't lean back and flip a switch to maintain that angle either. You can lock it so that you cannot lean back. You just can't leisurely recline. This chair wants to work you. This is not a gaming chair. Careful when installing. You need a firm grip when tightening the screws but herculean efforts will split the wood. ... show more

Very heavy duty, very comfortable. Easy to assemble. Nice finishes. A quality piece with one shortcoming- no recline lock. This chair only locks out recline, in the upright position- there is no lock position at the full recline position. I bought this chair as I had broke my foot and would need to keep my foot up on the desk for a few weeks. I find myself fighting the recline spring (even backed all the way off) too much, which I do not want. I will jerry rig my own lock, but for almost half a grand, it would have been nice to be able to lock it in the recline position which is why I docked it one star. Clearly better than any Wayfair chair near its price. La-Z-Boy put some effort into this. ... show more

Received item yesterday and put the chair together in about 30 minutes while being distracted / listening to the trove of election fraud evidence in Georgia. Anyway, very easy to assemble and looks great! Tremendous improvement in my office. Really comfortable and great quality. I feel well supported, especially in my lower back, and it's an attractive chair. I was prepared to spend 4X the price for an X-chair, but didn't like the way it looked and felt more value from a leather seat. I did upgrade the wheels to the "roller blade" like ones that I found on Amazon and they fit perfectly. Definitely not going to scratch the wood flooring. It was a great buy, especially now that I'm working from home 95% of the time! :) ... show more

The chair is very comfortable. It was easy to put together. The “air” feature does not keep the chair cool and is completely not worth talking about. You will get warm if you sit in this chair for a long time - it’s nothing as breathable as a mesh chair (obviously). The build quality is not very good. It does not feel like a sturdy chair. The arms wobble when you lean on them. I am sure it will eventually break. The only useful control is the height adjust. The chair can lean back, but it requires significant force and is not something you will choose to do.When it does break, I will buy something else. It is really comfortable for now, though. Update: Thanks to the coronavirus, I'm now using this chair full time. It's terrible. First, the right arm had already broken during incredibly infrequent use. Now that I have been using the chair full time for a couple weeks as I WFH, I hate it. The irony is that this is a chair fitted with "AIR Technology". Well let me tell you - air is the last thing my entire backside feels while sitting in this chair. The whole thing is like one hot recipe for swamp ass. I completely understand why my office chairs at work are mesh now - I have to take regular walks to dry out. Do not buy. ... show more

The chair is easy to put together, looks great, and is very comfortable. It is not real leather, so it will wear out in time. I had the chair for 7-8 years before the seat began to crack. For the cost, that's a bargain, IMO. I like it so much, I bought it again!

    • Controls don't fit slots on the bottom of the seat!

The lever controls that raise it up and down, and allow it to lean back, on the other side, do not fit into the slots under the seat, that they are supposed to slip into. There is no way they would fit, because the holder for them takes something that slides in, but the part attached to the lever has three holes in it, but no screws are supplied for these three holes, and the tool that comes with it doesn't fit the holders that are attached to the bottom of the chair! It's a really nice chair...it's super soft and comfy, but they are going to have to either give me a new control mechanism for the bottom, or new slots for these to fit into, and I don't think the holes on the bottom match up with the holes on the levers, unless you turn it diagonally, and that will not be good! I cannot believe Lazy Boy made this chair and it is like this! Update: Lazyboy sent the correct control arm fixture, and we replaced it (which wasn't that easy, it all had to come apart). It's a nice chair, but one of the screws is stripped out in the arm, it fell off, and it's a little tall, I think it is probably 2 inches taller than the previous chair we had, as low as it will go still isn't low enough.
