VERY easy to use. Just need to know your CCA of your battery and kind. Many YouTube Videos to show you how it works, etc. Tried it today, and it worked GREAT! Plan to check my battery every 3 months since the hot sun down here in Texas tends to "eat" batteries after 3+ years. Worth the investment. Instructions very simple. Worth the money! Great Value!!

I have several auto and sports batteries to check. This device does that quickly and easily, however since it does not apply a load to the battery I really have no idea how accurate this extrapolated data really is. I probably am going to have a couple of my batteries checked at one of the auto store chains to see how close the results are to this device, but haven't done that yet. I will say the voltage reading is somewhat higher than my VOM which I trust more, but not by a lot. If it pans out that the readings somewhat mirror the store reading than I will feel more comfortable with the results this checker provides.

Worked great. Instructions don’t describe how to check alternator. You can find it in YouTube. Accidentally ordered 2. Liked it so much going to keep both. One for shop and one for home.

Hard to tell if it’s giving accurate readings on charging test. Cables are too short for single person operation. During the charging test it’s hooked up the the battery but you have to sit inside the car and turn on lights and such to test load and then rev up the engine to test output under load and with no load. Even when you can do that; it doesn’t seem to register any change. It doesn’t register or detect any increase in engine rpm so it’s hard to tell if it’s even reading accurately. Did the same test twice with different results. The ripple test doesn’t do anything but show a ripple zigzag line; so it’s basically useless. Just not quite a refined product yet. That being said I have this companies more expensive model and that one is better, but not great. This one is just iffy; and when you need it to tell you if the battery or charging system is good, well you’ll know if the battery is; but can’t say for charging. Starting test is mostly a joke in all testers; basically just counts the about of milliseconds it took to turn over. Way I see it; it either turns over or it doesn’t. If it takes a long time to turn over and your battery tested good; sure it could be the starter going bad, but it could be so many other things too, such as corrosion, loose connection, etc. unless you know about these things this tester may give you inaccurate information.
