Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered this. The seller’s images looked too good—perfectly flat, almost like they were AI-generated. Then I started reading the reviews… cue the horror stories. People said it wouldn’t lay flat, it slid all over, and generally didn’t do what a chair mat is supposed to do. Still, with a 4-star average, I gave it a shot—and I’m glad I did. Is it perfect? No. But it’s damn close. I unrolled it, and it laid down almost completely flat straight out of the box, with just a tiny curl on one edge. Barely noticeable, and after placing a few weights on it, that smoothed out too. If you’re worried about the common issues—don’t be. Mine worked great. Just make sure to give it a little time and help it settle, and you should be good to go. ... show more

This is very slick. Not as thick as needed for an actual office chair/desk mat. But suitable for my purpose to keep a section of floor dry under pee pads. Be aware it does not lay completely levelly flat so anything wet must be kept well away from the edges or it sweats & gets moist underneath.

    • Not happy, edges always curl up

I'm two months in to trying to make this a usable product. Two problems. One, it's thin. Now I don't have this on hardwood, it's on a very thin run and is meant to try to protect the rug from the wheels on my chair, but the plastic is very thin and I am not holding out much hope for the long term. I didn't take any stars off for that since it's not made for rugs, it's made for hardwood, so OK I get it. The second problem, and this is where it fails for its intended purpose and gets the least number of stars I can give it, is that the edges curl up. For the past two months I've put various heavy books and flat weight on the corners and edges to get them to stay down, but within hours of taking the weight off the edges are curling up again. Whenever I walk past the mat edges my feet or chair wheels always get stuck and it's super annoying. I'm past the return period otherwise I would send it back. That's my fault I guess since I keep hoping that eventually the edges will lie flat. I had a very similar mat made by Amazon Basics that unfortunately is discontinued but that was awesome and worked great out of the box. Not so much this one. ... show more
