Had beauriful wood flooring installed in my home office, it was a good quality flooring but the installer told me to get a protector mat for the roller chair as flooring could crack under the rollers. So went to my local office supply fir one and was shocked at how much their prices went up since i purchased one a few years ago for a plastic mat for carpeting. So i googled and thought id try this one. It comes rolled up, but i rolled the edges up the opposite way of the roll and it layed flat quicky and easily. When i went to throw the box away i then noticed there were different instructions to unroll it. I highly recommend it, this is written about a year after i had gotten this and its lasting well, its good quality. And know if you buy this either look in the box well for the directions or roll edges the opposite way, either way it falls and stys flat rather quickly, you wont have to worry about the pkastic getting all mounded up or anything.

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered this. The seller’s images looked too good—perfectly flat, almost like they were AI-generated. Then I started reading the reviews… cue the horror stories. People said it wouldn’t lay flat, it slid all over, and generally didn’t do what a chair mat is supposed to do. Still, with a 4-star average, I gave it a shot—and I’m glad I did. Is it perfect? No. But it’s damn close. I unrolled it, and it laid down almost completely flat straight out of the box, with just a tiny curl on one edge. Barely noticeable, and after placing a few weights on it, that smoothed out too. If you’re worried about the common issues—don’t be. Mine worked great. Just make sure to give it a little time and help it settle, and you should be good to go.

Previously, I bought several of these mats to use under our desk chairs to protect the floor. Recently I bought high-end fitness equipment to put in our bonus room and decided to buy more of these mats to put under the equipment to protect the floor. They are working great! Almost transparent and no odor unlike many standard black mats that are sold specifically for fitness equipment.

While it's not its intended purpose, I use this product as a protective layer under puppy's playpen or wherever I lay puppy pads. It's an inexpensive and efficient way to ensure that no "mistakes" touch your hardwood floors or carpet, and it's super easy to clean. You can simply treat it like a normal floor.

It does protect the floor as advertised. It will not sit still. When you roll the chair, it moves. I have been reluctant to use the two sided tape that came with it. I'm not sure I want to put tape on my hardwood floors. If I had it to do again, I would buy a cheap area rug and a rigid chair mat. I am now also wondering if I could buy soft rubber wheels for my chair.

I'm two months in to trying to make this a usable product. Two problems. One, it's thin. Now I don't have this on hardwood, it's on a very thin run and is meant to try to protect the rug from the wheels on my chair, but the plastic is very thin and I am not holding out much hope for the long term. I didn't take any stars off for that since it's not made for rugs, it's made for hardwood, so OK I get it. The second problem, and this is where it fails for its intended purpose and gets the least number of stars I can give it, is that the edges curl up. For the past two months I've put various heavy books and flat weight on the corners and edges to get them to stay down, but within hours of taking the weight off the edges are curling up again. Whenever I walk past the mat edges my feet or chair wheels always get stuck and it's super annoying. I'm past the return period otherwise I would send it back. That's my fault I guess since I keep hoping that eventually the edges will lie flat. I had a very similar mat made by Amazon Basics that unfortunately is discontinued but that was awesome and worked great out of the box. Not so much this one.

Great floormat, I had it for a long while now, it does last and is very easy to maintain and clean also it protects my floors which is great since my office chair has wheels and I use it quite a bit. I would recommend this product and I hope this information helps.
