Great idea! This body suit has saved my home from total destruction. My Golden Retriever recently had surgery and was sent home with a cone. After a day and a half of her sweeping everything off the coffee table, running into door frames and knocking things over, I searched Amazon for an alternative. I bought 2 of these suits and they are a perfect replacement for the cone. She seems comfortable and she isn't trying to chew or lick her stitches. However, I bought an XL for a 56 pound puppy who's back is 24 inches long. It seems a bit short from neck to tail, but otherwise fits good. I would recommend buying one size larger than the description recommends.

My 30lb Boston Terrier had multiple lumps removed off his belly and his sides. I was worried he was going to army crawl and drag his belly against the carpet and snag his sutures. This suit worked perfectly and he seems very comfy in it. There is no panel to remove for urinating purposes but it was pretty easy to undo the Velcro, fold it back on his body, and resecure it around his chest when he went outside. The large was a little too big but I’d rather him have too much room in it than have it be too small.

Got this for my male dog who when I took the measurements it said he was a large. It was a bit small on him so I will probably size up. Other than that it’s really good. Not too hot of fabric. Very snug. Light weight. Very easy to put on and take off.

Terrific little outfit for the price and so much more comfortable than an e-collar. The designs are just toooo cute! My vet thought it was a great idea. This onesie is a small, cotton material soooo comfortable and lightweight. Not much stretch. I recommend this product to anyone who's pet has had surgery!!!

I bought the XL for a 65# berenedoodle and it fits well while she was standing. But when she lays down, the armholes shifted and are tight across her shoulders. It also seems odd to have a head hole and 2 front leg holes, without any way to help get their head and 2 front legs all in without feeling like your cramming a leg or head to get it in the hole. It would have been much better for 1 of the front leg holes to have a slit like opening with some sort of fastener to hooking up when the dog has every part where it should be. With that being said, my dog hasn’t tried to dig her way out of the suit and has been very good wearing it. It’s money well spent for her comfort and my piece of mind.

This onesie fits our golden retriever perfectly and has prevented licking of the surgical area. We have successfully avoided putting the cone on her which makes her much more comfortable. And the design of it makes it very easy for bathroom breaks. Plus she looks so stylish!

I spent so long trying to find the perfect coverage for my dog when she needed stitches right above her left leg, next to her tail. I tried to bandage her up, but they kept falling off. I was looking for extra padding to that area to prevent her from rubbing it on the carpet and her bed. I ended up sewing a padded surgical dressing on the inside where the wound was and my rigged up surgical suit worked like a charm. This suit offers great coverage… the only downside is that the coverage is almost TOO good, I didn’t really want it to prevent her from being able to pee/poop on the pee pee pads while I was at work, which it did. Super easy clean up though, I just hand washed and threw in the dryer. As you can see, with the extra padding it kind of looks like a diaper near the butt, which this suit could also be super helpful for if your pet needs a diaper but it always slips down. It holds everything in place. I originally bought 2 sizes, the large and extra large. For reference my dog is a smaller, more fragile in her old age, pitbull. She’s about 40 pounds. She fit the L on the size chart in terms of weight but the XL in terms of measurements, DEFINITELY go based off measurements. I returned the L and the XL worked out so much better because you can adjust how tight it fits with the Velcro. The only wonky part is the neckline which is a little wide. This didn’t bother me though. Also super easy to go to the bathroom…. I just detach the Velcro portion quick and attach it around her neck so her bottom half is exposed but the suit doesn’t flop around and the whole thing doesn’t need to come off.

This design is so perfect & the selection of prints is terrific. Worried about the sizing and purchased the medium for my chubby 17 lb Shihtzu (with cystic acne on her back, which Shihtzus can be prone to). I use a special shampoo and Benzoil Peroxide on her back and she needs the onesies to keep her from licking the medicine. I Chose the pineapple print for her. Not only does she look adorable in it but she seems so cool and comfortable and doesn't try to get out of it like with other onesies. Super easy to lift the back end for potty time too. I ordered two more in different prints. I haven't washed it yet so I'll be line drying & fluffing in the dryer to avoid any shrinkage that normally comes with cotton. EDIT.. Welll. hmmm. The initial Pineapple onesie I'd ordered came WITHOUT a velcro overlap on top. It was actually SEWN tight! .. No velcro at all on that flap that is supposed to overlap the Velcro straps that secure the onesie in place. What a surprise!! I went to use it, just assuming of course that that flap was Velcroed in place but the thread stitches tore instead of any velcro releasing.. What the heck..?! Wanted to love these! My dog seems so comfortable in a Onesie after her medication is applied.. The blue one fades immediately where medication, Benzoyl Peroxide, has been applied on her so it ends up splotched in white patches, (couldn't say if that's the case for other meds). The shrinkage was noticeable after a cold water wash and handing to dry, then a fluff-up. It still fits her but snugly so I let out the bottom to velcro around her chest (not rolling It up but just pulling it up under her & using the the 'straps' from underneath her to come up around her back and velcro there. Just wanter to update as per my experience if that's helpful to anyone. Still DO suggest and recommend doggie onesies over a cone collar! So nothing I've written here, in my estimation, deters from that particular matter. Go with a doggie onesie, just know that very few things are perfect even in the world of doggie onesies.
