I like to use a quilt topper all year around, and this one is just the right weight for all seasons with and without under layers. I was very pleased with the colorations when I saw this in person. Even though it is labelled as Black, the main background color is Charcoal, with just scattered use of black, and also mustard gold around the abstract floral images. It reminds me of scrollwork in antique buildings. I appreciate that the identical fabric is used on the opposite side, as I often prefer to fold back the quilt during the day. My bedroom has off white walls, and warm oak closets and moldings, and this pattern and color works beautifully. I can't wait to slip into bed under this quilt and be carried off to Dreamland My reason for awarding four stars is that my five star choices in the past have always been made with cotton materials. I hope that this quilt will lose some of its crispness with future washings. update after using the quilt for a couple of weeks: I want to comment on the weight. I am using this on a full mattress which sits on a high platform frame. I usually purchase a full/queen size that averages 92" square. This quilt measures 98" x 98", which I thought would also be suitable. Six inches all around does make a considerable difference in hanging length, especially at the corners, and in extra weight, which causes the quilt to slip down of it's own weight during the night. This is a bit cumbersome for me, as I am in my eighties, and not very strong. My other experience is that the creases from the vacuum packaging have not relaxed at all since I began to use this quilt. It is less noticeable at night, with low lighting and the dark color, but is not crease-resistant as is advertised. I am still deciding whether to request a return/refund because I do like the color and pattern. ... show more

This was an easy purchase. I looked for hours on Amazon for a quilt that would reach the floor on my queen bed. However, I could not find one. I’m not sure how exactly this quilt listing got into my search feed, but after I clicked on it, looked at the measurements and color, it seemed perfect. I bought it with very high hopes and have loved it since it arrived at my doorstep. After sleeping on it for about a month, I can say that this is the best quilt comforter I have purchased. It’s longer than my bed on every side (which I love and spent a long time looking for), affordable, literally the EXACT color I was looking for, cool and warm at the same time, SUPER SOFT, light and easy to wash/dry etc. I have also styled this comforter multiple ways and it looks great (although I’m new to “dressing beds,” so don’t judge lol) and has inspired me to design my small bedroom to feel more comfy and cozy! I can’t say enough good things about this thing! I have a coverlet underneath this quilt for the random cold nights and it’s slightly ruffled which makes the quilt in the photo look not flat, but the quilt styled by itself sits flat and nice on its own. Probably my favorite purchase on Amazon so far. 15/5, absolutely amazing and I highly recommend!! ... show more

This is a great oversized lighter weight quilt. It covers the blankets on 3 sides and still covers the pillows. I think it's a nice product at a good price. No problems with the stitching as other's have mentioned. It looks beautiful on the bed. The pillow shams are well made also.
