From the case to what’s inside I love it! The heavy plastic case and snap latches are quality! So far I’ve repaired 4 different rides… 2 ball joints of which were very old and rusty that took a lot of pressure to remove and it did it with ease. No issues whatsoever. All pieces fit well in their places in the storage box and the instruction sheet helps just enough to get you started in using it. Other than needing a better detailed instruction book on how and when to use each adapter and other pieces it’s great. U won’t find a better set for the money. ... show more

Pressed out the front ball joint from control arm on my 2005 Mitsubishi Outlander with ease. Repeated the procedure in opposite orientation to install new ball joints. Nice directions come with the kit, but you may need to customize for your specific application. I had to reverse press out procedure and run the screw drive onto the ball joint stem due to the design of ball joint. Seemed well made and should stand up to removal of most automotive ball joints. ... show more

definitely worth the 43 bucks! I used this tool to change U joints on a 2nd gen Nissan Xterra, and made the job a snap. Lube the threads before use and make sure you have a 22 mm (my recollection) socket in conjunction with an impact driver or handheld wrench. I cannot review the ball joint adapter pieces but the flatter ones felt very solid. Note: the "tubular spacer" type adapter in this kit seems like it was the thinnest material so take that into account if you need hardcore use of the tubular spacer style adapter. I had to return this and opt for the master kit because none of the pressing cups fit the diameter of the ball joints I had to remove and install. Otherwise, it is a well made kit for a great price as well. Had I been able to use it and keep it, easy 5 stars. But I gave it 4 stars because the Amazon driver just threw the heavy package onto our front porch which cracked the plastic case even though it was sealed. ... show more

This press is supposed to be rated for u joints and ball joints on 3/4 Ton pickups. The C-Frame bent on the first push of a u joint out of the front axle on my F250.

Large C-clamp a little off at angle from top one. after a lot of maneuvering finally got my lower ball joint out and back in. Not for all car models, please check compatibility first.

As soon as I picked the box up there was a lot of weight to it. Reminded me of picking up an American tool made of Pittsburgh or Detroit steel from days gone bye. Well, I had to replace universals on my dodge Dakota, and with this tool thought it was a walk in the park. This tool made me look so good in front of my neighbors that they thought I was an expert. The greatest regret I have about purchasing this tool was why I didn't buy it a lot sooner.
