KONNWEI: KDIAG this little device is pretty comprehensive in such a small thing. Out of the box, it's lightweight, with rubber grips. The shell case is pretty nice and the booklet is not bad for basic understanding of how to operate. !!!((Do read the first couple pages before use )!!! Nice broad selection of brands that it can diagnose, popular languages to choose from that would have access to the device. The (EVAP and battery match) though are special apps for specific types. EVAP is obviously for that special kind, but the (battery match) is for newer cars and I have a (F-150 05) and for some reason for the battery match, it showed mostly newer models engine sizes, not my 4.2L. So in regards to checking your car battery status, I would get the (plug-n-play version), unless you have one of those current models. Now for the rest of the diagnostic apps, they are very nice. The graphical chart only does (4) at a time, you choose the 4 and it'll live display. The complete diagnosis app, does a very basic read out not as detailed, but highlights what's needed for the every day guy and not as confusing as the plug-n-play version. The tabs in the app allow you to see each one individually for more information, so it's not overwhelming right off the bat. I do love the dashboard readout app, that's cool, especially if you have someone next to looking at it while you drive, so they can make note of any issues without any risk of accidents. All in all, I do like the little guy, it's practical and makes for a nice backup reader, or if you're just feeling lazy. Personally, I would have both the wired and this one. Firmware update: Mine came with the latest firmware, but that's because it's new in 2023, so 2024 going forward, check before use and be sure your phone is charged 50%+ and connected to a stable WiFi Internet connection. Caution ⚠️: DO NOT LEAVE IN CAR (in hot regions) DO NOT LEAVE PLUGGED IN (only use when needed, then put away) READ THE BOX (there is a caution text) NOT WATER OR ANY TYPE OF LIQUID PROOF) ( rainy days: if you absolutely have to, use the hardwired one, not the Bluetooth one) The negative star is for the lack of waterproofing and no battery health check app. (Not that I saw anyway, could be there, just that it wasn't one of the home screen apps). ... show more

I was quite puzzled by the overwhelming positive feedback this scanner has garnered, as my personal experience with it turned out to be rather disappointing. Initially, I was excited as I unboxed the product and discovered the compact scanner neatly tucked within its elegant case. However, my enthusiasm quickly dwindled once I connected the scanner and attempted to use it. I decided to put this scanner to the test on three different vehicles. The first was my trusty Chevy Suburban. To my dismay, the scanner failed to locate the vehicle through the app using the VIN, forcing me to manually input the details. Unfortunately, this simple task escalated into a convoluted process, leaving me resorting to guesswork at times. As if that wasn't frustrating enough, the diagnostics procedure itself hit a dead end. Hoping for better luck, I moved on to my 1997 Jeep TJ for the second trial. Much to my bewilderment, the software shockingly lacked support for Jeeps. This revelation left me utterly baffled, wondering how such an omission could occur in a supposedly comprehensive diagnostic tool. Undeterred, I then directed my attention to my 2008 Honda Odyssey for the final attempt. While the scanner successfully identified the vehicle this time, my hopes were quickly dashed when attempts to perform diagnostics proved futile. Despite investing nearly two hours in navigating this tool's complexities, my efforts yielded no fruitful results. Regrettably, I found myself surrendering to the frustration. The fact that using this scanner turned into such a time-consuming and exasperating ordeal left me convinced that the process should not have been so needlessly intricate. My experience leads me to question the validity of the positive reviews I had encountered, given the significant challenges I faced. -- Maybe, I need newer cars or something. ... show more

This is a good portable buetooth IBDII code reader. The app is a little weird, but works well. I prefer using the Torque android app with it. It works fine on torque after you point the app to the device. I like being able to read codes on the fly, and this one works quickly. Some OBDii readers take forever to read the codes and even longer to clear them. This one is pretty fast. It comes with a nice little case to store it in, which is a nice touch. It works for the most part. Doesn’t work on my dodge truck. A lot of the app features are vehicle spacific. Not fond of that. App isn’t very easy to understand or find what I’m looking for at all. But does at least read codes and clears them. The rest of the features. Don’t count on it working.

    • Coinvent and portable OBD2 Scanner
I've been using a few of the corded code readers and even a USB OBD II cable but this is by far the most coinvent one without spending several hundred dollars on one. So long as you have the app installed you're ready to go and it has a good case to prevent damages. The wireless ability of it is a huge plus since I don't have to flip upside down and laydown just to be close to my OBDII port constantly. The device reads the codes I want and can clear them, plus it does so much more it blows my mind. Most of the time I just use these things as a code reader and replace what likely went wrong but with all the live data and diagnostics this device gives with ease it removes a lot of the guess work behind those codes.
