If the mail damages your product and Amazon fixes it don't hurt Amazon on stars, it's not their fault unless they delivered is. Ours came in perfect and quiet close is nice. Changing bags is very simple and the Hefty brand fits very snug around can. Tossed many things in and bag never fell in. It is totally worth the extra bucks for a very well built unit.

Got it for a small bathroom to sit between the toilet and a sink. The lid lifts up high given where the hinge is positioned - you may want to make sure if fits in your space vertically too! My favorite feature is the two little plastic "hooks" in the internal plastic bin. I use grocery store plastic bags to line the internal bins and this lets me hooks the handles of plastic bags for a perfect fit. The bag is nicely hidden when the bin is positioned and covered and hooks keep it from sliding too. Love that the white matches the rest of the bathroom color-wise. Would recommend it and would buy again.

I saw this bathroom waste bin at my cousin's house and thought it looked nice. Wanting to replace my current open air waste bin I decided to purchase this unit. There is an inner removable bin that has premolded hooks to tie trash bags to. 4 gal wide (17x18in) trash bags fit the slim canister perfectly or you can use grocery bags. The outside is very easy to clean and has an elegant style. The top opens and closes silently, the foot pedal operates smoothly. This works definitely make a great house warming gift.

Trash bags do not fit interior containers. Tall trash bags are long enough, but they are much wider than the containers. This means either going through trash bags twice as fast, or pulling the current bag out to use outside th Haven’t found a trash bag that fits the interior containers. Regular tall trash bags do not fit because they are too wide. We have to use a trash bag band to keep the bags from falling into the can. Because there is a hole near the top of the containers, we use it to secure some of the excess bag (see pictures). Finally, tall or large trash bags do not fit inside the main container (not using the interior containers) because bags are not not wide enough, and due to the design, it is impossible to attach the bag around the lip of the can. Even with these complaints, I love the look, size, and esthetics of this trash can. Koehler, if you read this, do you have a solution?

My first can arrived damaged and clearly noted by the sender in a sealed container as damaged bent. I thought this cant be possible. I opened the box and it was. I thought well it is a perfect match to my existing appliances, so I sent it back for a refund and ordered another one, which arrived in perfect condition. To the positive side, this can fits my small kitchen perfectly. The black stainless steal matches my appliances. The price is double Than what wanted to pay for a trash can. Because it is pricey I lowered the rating. The quality is good but cannot give it exceptional i feel that the steel may be a little thin and delicate and more susceptible to bents and dents. overall it looks beautiful and the size and function is just what i was looking for.

For years, I'd been using an ancient plastic trash can in my kitchen, and finally found this beautiful, well-built, stainless steel Kohler trash can that fits like it was made for the small space in my kitchen. I love the gently self-closing lid and the fact that the bin can be removed and cleaned. I only wish there were clearer instructions about how to raise the lid all the way up to access the bin. I didn't know it needed quite as much of a push to lift the lid housing, and i was afraid it might break if I pushed too hard. It won't. Another drawback is that it's a little tricky to get your trash bag to wrap up and over the top of the bin as you lower it into the can. Still not worth taking any stars off my review. I love the appearance and function of this trash can.

Dispite the fact that it was received damaged. This is the kitchen can to buy. Rubber band free bag installation and retention, the lid stays within the perimeter of the can, so you won't hit the wall, it even has a non slip foot so it doesn't move. Oh, lets not forget the quiet close lid. Fabulous...
