This is I think, my third set of my choice of brand door knobs. That alone is the best review I can give. However, why…well always an excellent uniform finish and fit. Over time, they stay tight and turn accurately. For me, the quality of this home essential part, is important because we all know what a poor quality of in particular, a fussy button or center lock can be, but this is all put to rest with a simple upgrade like this brand. That’s why I keep coming back and put them in all my interior doors.

The matte black finish looks great and completely transformed the look of my bathroom door. Even though the installation process was simple, trying to get to the two mounting screws with a screwdriver or power tool was quite challenging because the knob was in the way. I accidentally scratched the knob and the screw heads. I had to manually tighten both mounting screws using my fingers until they were close enough to the mounting plate, in order to use the screwdriver at an angle. I wished the shank was slightly longer to allow for easy installation. Overall, the doorknob itself is very sturdy, functions perfectly, and doesn't have any loose components.

These doorknobs have a great weight and is so smooth when I turn the knob. I love the small detail where the doorknob is round while the seat is square. It makes the design versatile in many different aesthetics. The doorknobs came with all the install items needed, such as the screws, but that's obvious. The knobs look fantastic and were packaged well. None of the items were damaged in shipment.

This three pack is a good value. These knobs are weighty. Though the knobs are not solid, they feel as if they were. The knob is a standardized size. It fits both 2-3/8" and 2-3/4" backset. The rosette is square. This is a throwback to older homes that have the iron box lock (big black rectangular lock with the skeleton key). These are privacy locks. They are for use anywhere you need a locked door but can be unlocked with a coin or anything you can use to turn the button on the other side to gain entrance in an emergency. If the lock becomes accidentally locked while no one is in the room, use a coin to unlock it. Again, it's a standard knob that will easily replace an existing set with just a #2 Phillips screwdriver. A template, with instructions, is included with each lock telling how to install in a black door. You'll need a 2-1/8" hole saw, a 1" wood drill bit, a wood chisel, a drill and a "#2 Phillips screwdriver. Its simple to replace an existing lock, but you'll need a moderate level of experience to install in a blank door.
