MY PREFERRED BRAND
Item Package Quantity: 3 Size: Privacy(Lock with no key)
This is I think, my third set of my choice of brand door knobs. That alone is the best review I can give. However, why…well always an excellent uniform finish and fit. Over time, they stay tight and turn accurately. For me, the quality of this home essential part, is important because we all know what a poor quality of in particular, a fussy button or center lock can be, but this is all put to rest with a simple upgrade like this brand. That’s why I keep coming back and put them in all my interior doors. ... show more

Easy assembly
Item Package Quantity: 2 Size: Privacy(Lock with no key)
These doorknobs have a great weight and is so smooth when I turn the knob. I love the small detail where the doorknob is round while the seat is square. It makes the design versatile in many different aesthetics. The doorknobs came with all the install items needed, such as the screws, but that's obvious. The knobs look fantastic and were packaged well. None of the items were damaged in shipment. ... show more

This three pack is a good value. These knobs are weighty. Though the knobs are not solid, they feel as if they were. The knob is a standardized size. It fits both 2-3/8" and 2-3/4" backset. The rosette is square. This is a throwback to older homes that have the iron box lock (big black rectangular lock with the skeleton key). These are privacy locks. They are for use anywhere you need a locked door but can be unlocked with a coin or anything you can use to turn the button on the other side to gain entrance in an emergency. If the lock becomes accidentally locked while no one is in the room, use a coin to unlock it. Again, it's a standard knob that will easily replace an existing set with just a #2 Phillips screwdriver. A template, with instructions, is included with each lock telling how to install in a black door. You'll need a 2-1/8" hole saw, a 1" wood drill bit, a wood chisel, a drill and a "#2 Phillips screwdriver. Its simple to replace an existing lock, but you'll need a moderate level of experience to install in a blank door. ... show more

Relatively easy installation, but not perfect
Item Package Quantity: 3 Size: Privacy(Lock with no key)
I installed two doorknobs from this pack of three. First, I'll comment on the installation - it was easy. About as easy as a doorknob can be. One of the doors I replaced had a doorknob I'm assuming was put in around 1960, so the hardware didn't line up at all. That's not the fault of the doorknob, but it's definitely something to be aware of before buying this. I had to drill two holes for the main screws, and fitting the inner portion (the latch bolt) was also a challenge. The other one I replaced was a more modern doorknob, and it fit right in. Oddly, the more complicated installation resulted in a much better experience, as the other doorknob seems to be a little faulty. The latch on my second installation didn't reset properly when I let go of the doorknob, resulting in an annoying behavior where the door doesn't properly close. I can jiggle the knob to get the latch to close, but I think something inside the knob itself is warped a little bit, because it doesn't feel right to turn. I tried lubricating it with some WD-40, but that had basically no effect. This is certainly not an error in my installation, as I was very careful and I'm quite capable of installing home hardware. Replacing the knob with one of the others alleviated the issue, as well, so it seems to me one out of the three knobs was damaged in some way. That's not exactly what I'd call a good failure rate. That being said, after getting used to the doorknobs, I think they're quite good. They're a little bulkier than my previous doorknobs, but that's just fine. I think these are good knobs but be aware that I did receive a damaged item. ... show more
