Features

  • 1. The drum head of Kmise banjolele made of polyester with great elasticity has a quick response. Equipped with superior Aquila String from Italy and high quality closed geared tuners, this banjolele can not only produce a bright and percussive tone but also be in an accurate intonation and stay in tune well.
  • 2. Compared with other banjoleles, Kmise banjolele with action 3mm at the 12th fret is very comfortable for beginners to learn because players do not need to press too hard with such a low action. Preset with truss rod inside the neck, players can adjust the action with the wrench as needed. Smooth fretboard and neat fret wires also offer comfortable touch and protect hands from being scratched.
  • 3. Multifunctional strap with an adjustable length from 45.6'' to 66.1'' can release the pressure of the banjolele and set hands free to play. The strap equips with two hooks can allow players not to drill a hole on the banjolele but fasten the hook on the metal frame and tie the leather belt on either headstock or strap lock.
  • 4. Kmise banjolele has various playing methods. It can be in a traditional resonator style or an open back style by detaching its back. Traditional resonator style produces a mellower, softer sound while the open back style has a brighter sound. The package also comes with a piezo pickup that can connect the recording equipment for stage performance, which makes Kmise banjolele a super playable and multifunctional musical instrument.

  • Best value around.
Color: Banjolele Banjo Ukulele Concert Size 23 ...
I can hardly believe the value I got here. This is a great little instrument, sounds and plays as good as one costing 3 times as much. Even the pickup sounds great through an amp. I am very pleased. Would recommend to anyone.

My dad loves it! He played the banjo when he was younger (a firefighter and former marine) and it put the biggest smile on his face!

  • Great little friend, but missing the paperwork
Color: Banjolele Banjo Ukulele Concert Size 23 ...
This is a very sweet little addition to my fun collection of instruments. It comes without the bridge installed, which is smart for this kind of instrument to avoid damage during shipping. But, there is a very obvious guide of where to place in under the strings and after loosening the strings a little, the bridge popped in very easily. I didn't pay close enough attention when ordering and thought I was getting an open back, but it isn't. I may try to remove it and see if it's nicely finished inside. I was amazed at how many things are included with this little gem, considering the price! Strap, picks, pic up, head tuner, intonation tuner, an extra set of strings, emery cloth(I'm thinking possibly to use on the frets?)... The G string tuning peg is slipping a little and I'll have to see if it needs to be replaced or not. Yes, as I heard in some of the reviews, the frets are a little sharp, but living in dry Colorado, that's a common problem with new instruments that were made in more humid climates. This baby was made in China. It's been enough of a problem with multiple instruments that my husband bought a little kit to fix the problem! One complaint is that there was an empty plastic bag attached to the outside of the instrument box(inside of the shipping box), so instructions and understanding of the parts isn't possible. Because I have other instruments, I'm not lost. But, it would be nice to know how to use the pick up that is provided. I would recommend this purchase to anyone at any age. It will make you happy if you spend some focused time on it, I'm sure. Banjo is always happy!.. and it will be a good travel instrument, too! Enjoy! ... show more

  • Not For Beginners
Color: Banjolele Banjo Ukulele Concert Size 23 ...
UPDATE: I still stand by my statement that beginners should pass on this. BUT, this could be a fun instrument for intermediate and advanced players. It took me close to an hour to make the adjustments necessary for this instrument to be playable. Once I got all the strings off, the tuning peg for the A string was the only one that was loose. Once I opened it up, I noticed there was quite a bit of debris that was most likely accumulated from the machining process. That's a QC issue with the company that made the tuners although I feel that whomever assembled the instrument should have caught it and corrected. Overall, I think it's a decent buy for the price. Yes, I had to spend some time to make it playable, but now that it's set up properly, I'm happy with it. I will probably still replace the tuners somewhere down the road but once I had a look at the guts, it doesn't seem to be as urgent as I had originally thought. If it had come out of the box in this condition, I would have rated it a 4 or 5, but with the time I had to put into it, the broken strap button, and my initial disappointment from how it came out of the box, I have to give it a 3. First of all, this instrument is not for beginners. It's a beautiful instrument but it requires too much work out of the box for a beginner. Things went wrong right away. Loved the look of the strap and the material BUT it takes some work to get the buttons through the holes to the point where the brad on one of the buttons broke trying to get it through the hole. It actually made it possible to get it through the hole and then crimped it back in place with pliers. It seems to be holding well for now. You'll learn the value of stretching your strings with this instrument. It was impossible to tune out of the box. At first, I thought maybe the electronic tuner was junk but I tried it on my other ukes and double-checked the tuning with my Snark and the tuner that's included is above average. I sat the instrument down for a few seconds to go grab a capo and the A string broke(which seems to be a recurring theme). That's due to them not being strung properly by the manufacturer, they're wound too tight at the tuning peg. Upside to the A string breaking, it gave me a chance to check the tuning peg. The tuning pegs are junk. Kudos to you if you get one and can keep it in tune. The pegs are too loose and since they're closed, not easy to adjust. I plan to swap them out with a set of quality, open-gear pegs. I'm giving this a one-star so people will read the review but I would actually rate it 2 stars. As mentioned earlier, it is a beautiful instrument, has great sound, and the wood grain is gorgeous. With a little work and $10-$20 for better parts, I think I can turn it into a 4 star instrument. And the pickup that is included is a decent little pickup. If you're a beginner, this is not the instrument for you. Spend a little more money and get a Gold Tone Little Gem or a base level Oscar Schmitt. They're not that much more expensive but will be less hassle for you out of the box. If you decide to go ahead and give it a try, I recommend re-stringing it before you do anything else. Replace the tuners if needed and enjoy. ... show more

  • Fun little Ragtime and 20's Jazz Instrument
Color: Beige
After looking through a lot of the different banjoleles in Amazon, I finally narrowed down my choice to these Kmise units due to their customer ratings and video uploads. Being on a budget, I went with the Beige finish since it was a little cheaper than the others in the line. When it arrived, the Amazon box had been crushed a little, so I was more than a little nervous about opening package, but the ukulele shipping box within was in perfect shape which put my mind at ease. Like with people, the outside doesn't matter; it's what's inside that counts. Had to loosen the strings quite a bit before the bridge could be set up. The included plastic ruler sped up the process immensely. My SX Tenor banjo didn't come with one so that took a few minutes setting it up. This one was nearly instant once the strings were loosened and the bridge placed correctly beneath them. I had to do a quick search for a youtube video to set up the strap since the ones I've previously used didn't come with the buttons on them. The little clip-on tuner is nice, but I think that I prefer the ukulele tuning app that I have on my phone a little more, but that's just me. Holds it's tune a little better than my tenor banjo; but then just about anything stays in tune longer than a banjo. Not sure why it needed a piezo pickup as banjos do not have an "inside voice." It was a nice addition, though. Thanks again to Kmise and Amazon for this wonderful little addition to my collection. Made for a delightful little birthday present to myself. =) ... show more
