I bought two of these units and they did not work. I tried everything and kept thinking I was doing it wrong. I was trying to pair it to a LiftMaster gate opener with DIP switches. Finally after months of putting it aside and coming back to it, I realize that I just wasted my money. This is now past the return. I recently bought a truck without factory garage door opener. It took a couple of tries to get the proper one. We have a gate at the entrance to our development that operated on an old frequency (310mHz). The first “universal” opener only works on certain frequencies but not the one for the gate opener. Yes this remote has DIP switches which I needed for the community gate using Liftmaster sliding gate controller. Instructions show 14 as the setting for Chamberlain DIP switches and Liftmaster is supposed to be the same, but did not work. I went through all combinations (# clicks and DIPs set correct or on reverse) and finally got it to work with 10 clicks. The instructions doesn't even show that as a Chamberlain/Liftmaster type. ... show more
