This canon EF-S telephoto lens was labeled as "excellent". Upon receiving the lens, I looked at the front glass. It had a swirl mark in it. I used a camera lens cleaner and cloth and finally on the third attempt the mark came off. The lens works great, auto focus and image stabilizer work great. Compared against my old 100-300 generic lens and this can definitely is sharper and clearer ... show more

I purchased this lens because it is sharper than the 70-300. It is also lighter and has image stabilization. On an APC crop sensor camera it's equivalent to and 88-400mm and that's good enough for shooting wild life or subjects far away. It has a plastic mount instead of metal but if you take care of your equipment it will last you a long time. ... show more

My lens was shipped and delivered quickly even though I live outside the US. It looks brand new, if I didn't know it was reconditioned I would not be able to tell it was. I tested it with a few photos and it works perfectly.

It seems to work as it should. The auto-focus works fine so I think it will do what I need. If I was making my living as a professional I would buy new but this suits my purposes. I bought another reconditioned lens and camera and they’ve been fine
